Bummer to hear that it's common. I mean FFS, he was schooling the kid on the fact that on the turn, he only had a 19% chance to make his flush on the river, and then was pulling out something on his phone to prove it. Later on, a player folded to this self-appointed poker professor on the turn admitting that he wanted to call but that the 19% number he named earlier was haunting him and he didn't want to miss and face the bigger bet on the turn if he did. Professor replied that he was glad he folded, that he just wanted the pot right then.
Dude was a pussy who was just determined to lower his variance even if it meant completely eliminating any edge he (and any other winner) might have in the game. Thanks for discouraging people from chasing their draws, *******.
