Read somewhere yesterday (might have been a summary of meltzer?) that WWE is super high on Dana Brooke and envisions her being the female roman reigns.
Makes sense as the Brooke/Charlotte type team ups always end in one turning on the other, so maybe that's where they are headed with the storyline
The debut of a live “Smackdown” comes as two of the WWE’s biggest attractions, John Cena and Seth Rollins, are returning to competition from injuries. And the company is expected to create strong points of differentiation between “Smackdown” and USA’s other live program, “Monday Night Raw,” according to the WWE. A draft will be held before the “Smackdown” launch date to determine which wrestlers on the company’s talent roster will be assigned to which program. Each show is expected to feature separate cast, plots and writing teams.
Hopefully, there's still only one world champ, with the IC title Raw exclusive and the US title Smackdown exclusive (or vice versa). And I guess Main Event becomes Smackdown Exclusive and Superstars becomes Raw exclusive?
Don't know how they will handle the females. I don't think there are enough females to split them. So they would all go to Raw?
That's the weirdest part for me. If they split the titles it becomes too much again and if they don't it feels kind of weird to be a tag team or a woman on the show that doesn't have those titles
On the plus side, having one title and separate rosters will make PPV title matches mean a lot more because hopefully by definition they won't be able to do the "THIS TIME IT DOESNT MATTER" seven match series on TV prior to/after the event.
I hesitate to say "this can only be a good thing" because if I've learned one thing from being a fan it's to not underestimate their capacity for ****ing up a good thing, but, yeah.
