We ought to do things slightly differently this year since it has been done so many times. Limit the time frame; perhaps only work since 1980 or 1975 counts.

I would do 1980 onwards as I said in the other thread. Also I think if you draft a current guy you should get them up until this point rather than being able to project their careers going forward. These will both make the draft different from the last one, plus it looks like their will be less players, so fewer/stronger rosters will be another change.

In for whatever though.

In so far

Wesrwood
Yankeys
Teejayc
Ajd804
Isolated

Idk how you guys feel but what about not using guys currently active now? This way when we draft people we know exactly how long their careers were etc

Not a fan of the idea of that idea; I like the idea of just not getting their future careers better.

That seems like a terrible idea, would make the pool way too thin.

I'm sure this just complicates things, but what about separating a wrestler ' s singles and tag team careers to allow for the drafting of complete tag teams with a single pick?

The only thing I don't like about that is. If I were to get Bret or Shawn and than the tag team. You couldn't actually have them take the same career path they really took

I was thinking about this as well. Maybe its done on a case by case basis. If one of the members of the tag team had a better career as a singles wrestler then they are separate. For instance, The Road Warriors or Midnight Express would be a single draft entry, but Hart and Neidhart would have to separate, as would Shawn and Marty.

I would rather draft each wrestler individually but not too bothered. Having some wrestlers being drafted more than once doesn't seem good though.

I dont have a problem with this, I was just thinking that since some tag teams back in the day used to travel the territories as just tag teams that we should be able to draft some as one entity.

I did think of a draft where you draft wrestlers' runs in a company (so Hogan WWF and WCW would be separate picks) but it would probably get too complicated.

I guess maybe I should explain my reasoning and see if there are better ideas out there on how to make it happen.

I think I just want the end result to be more realistic and that means most of the feds are going to have a tag division, a mid-card, and a specialty division (women, hardcore, cruiserweight, etc.), and I don't think that's what most of us end up with. Maybe it's not even a real problem and therefore doesn't need a solution.

It does make some sense and ideally teams like LOD would be one pick, but once you get past the obvious ones such as the teams you mentioned I think it becomes a bit ambiguous as to who counts as a packaged tag team and who doesn't.

Judy's running it so I'm cool with whatever though.
