LordCC and Steroid Boy made odd choices not stacking points on Taker. I mean firstly game theory means everyone should be putting 8 on it so its a wash but secondly if you arent going to stack 8 on it then you should be picking Triple H hoping to diverge from the field if the really unlikely but actually possible happens.

Which is pretty much what LordCC seems to have tried to do stacking 7 points on Sheamus. Edit, and 8 on Y2J.

Most people (including myself after a last minute change of heart) bet against the biggest celeb on the card. I don't even know who Maria is but I do agree she's pretty much a lock; still nowhere near as much of a lock as Taker though.

Putting fewer points on Undertaker is a relative value bet on HHH as opposed to outright picking him. Also, there's always a nonzero probability that HHH gonna HHH.

considering she was in a 6 way tag match at tribute to the troops, and pinned beth phoenix, it is a super lock.

i tried to convince my buddy, who has access to a betting website, to bet the farm on a -400 maria and kelly.

$20 max bets lol

"this business" is better with an undefeated undertaker.

every time Hx3 talked about "this business", it became more and more obvious what the finish was going to be.

I'm in the same boat as you with 8 points on Taker and 7 on KK/Maria. I don't think that what I proposed will happen; I was just putting forth a possible scenario of how Maria doesn't win, whereas there are no scenarios in existence where Taker doesn't win.

1. Taker legit dies/gets his neck broken a la Jesse Sorenson (where 2 people would need to die in the KK/Maria match)
2. There's a reason there's a HHHAlltheBelts.gif and not UndertakerAlltheBelts.gif. He's ~40 years old, barely wrestles and yet on commercial breaks at shows Pedigrees guys like Miz and McIntyre. He might be able to convince Vince that next year's WM, the Undertaker getting revenge match would sell an extra xxx,xxx buys or something and not hurt UT's DVD sales.

I don't know the right strategy for this, I just figured that if I pick differently than the rest of the field then I will either lose badly or win outright which is why I didn't pick Taker for 8 points even though he is obviously the biggest lock. It is only $10 so it is a fun sweat and I don't mind losing.

2. I have already addressed this but HHH doesn't let his ego get in the way of putting people over when it really matters. He may always book himself into these huge matches, but at least he doesn't win them.

I really wanted to move KK and MM up to 5 and Team Johnny down to 2 but bailed at the last second.
