Wasn't it Melzter that started the whole Wrestlemania III did not have 93,000 but instead had 78,000?

Found his picks and re-entered them.

Yeah, i left it editable because lol at me editing them all in single handedly. I assume someone just accidentally botched it somehow.

How is Hogan/Andre -4*s? What exactly possessed him to rate it that low?

My fifth pick is between the two most important figures in wrestling history and there would be no Wrestlemania without either of them.

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

Hulk Hogan vs Vince McMahon - Street Fight

One month prior at No Way Out, during a match between Hogan and The Rock, McMahon got involved and came down to the ring, only to distract Hogan, which allowed the referee, Sylvan Grenier to give The Rock a chair, which Rock used to hit Hogan and pin him for the win. After No Way Out, McMahon proclaimed that Hulkamania was dead and proclaiming a new 'mania; McMahonamania. On the March 6 edition of SmackDown!, Hogan informed McMahon that Hulkamania was not dead and that McMahon had nothing to do with creating it. McMahon informed Hogan that he did not hate Hulkamaniacs or Hulkamania, but he hated Hogan. He then told Hogan that he hated him for leaving WWE (then known as the WWF) for Ted Turner's WCW and for testifying against him in the steroid trial in the 1990s. McMahon proceeded by challenging Hogan to a match at WrestleMania where if Hogan lost, he would have to retire from professional wrestling. Hogan accepted his challenge later that night. Two weeks later on the March 20 edition of SmackDown!, McMahon and Hogan had a contract signing for their match at WrestleMania. As Hogan was preparing to sign the contract, McMahon attacked with a steel chair from behind. Shortly afterward, McMahon hit Hogan several times with the chair in the head, causing him to bleed. McMahon then signed the contract and forced Hogan to sign with his blood.

The censors may have tried to stop me but my current Wrestlemania card is as follows;

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock (c) WWF Title Match (WM17)
Hulk Hogan vs Vince McMahon- Street Fight (WM 19)
Macho Man Randy Savage vs The Ultimate Warrior- Retirement Match (WM7)
Undertaker vs Ric Flair- No DQ (WM18)
Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho (WM19)

Oh man, you got two crazy, yet legendary figures, and old people in a roid on roid fight. I would have chosen that in the future if I had gotten desperate.

Meltzer (for reasons unknown) really hated the WWF in the 80s. I'd take everything he has to say about the promotion at the time with a grain of salt.

This card is winning.

That was the other Hogan match I was talking about, great pick. I also love the Big Show/Raven/Kane hardcore match. That's always been my favorite hardcore match, Raven takes so much punishment through out. I always loved this spot:

It's all about the star power! Of the 10 wrestlers I have picked so far, Jericho is the least well known and he has mainstream appeal from DWTS. I can't have a Wrestlemania without Hulk Hogan.

Disagree. Two great matches, then a bunch of big names in matches that range from decent to good...it's a nice card, but I just don't see it being out in front.

All right then, back to me? Ok, its pretty bad for me that I did not have a Jericho match in the first four rounds, since he's probably one of my favorite wrestlers of all-time, so I'm going to use it here.

I'm going to pick Chris Jericho vs Ricky Steamboat, Roddy Piper, and Superfly Snuka at WM 25. For this match, I often ignore the Piper and Snuka stuff, since Snuka looks out of shape and Piper is well Piper.

I choose this, just for the fact that Ricky did not wrestle in a match in like 15 years, and did as much as he could do with his limits and probably out-performed a good amount of the younger performers. Heck, it was probably that match that got me intrigued into Ricky Steamboat which lead to me into looking at his 80s masterpieces with amazement.

Card:
Benoit vs HBK vs HHH (WM 20)
Angle vs Guerrero (WM 20)
Undertaker vs Orton (WM 21)
Kane vs Big Show vs Raven (WM 17)
Chris Jericho vs Ricky Steamboat............Piper, Snuka (WM 25)

I understand that, I would have chosen it as well. I just want to point out that they are old, and very very roided up, especially Vince.

Steamboat being that good at that age after that layoff was epic. I didn't have it this high on my draft board, but that was a cool WrestleMania moment.

Eh, I had all of those rated at four stars or better (I throw ancillary aspects such as storyline and atmosphere into it). Yeah, some of them aren't workrate classics, but there's a hell of a lot of great moments stuck in that card.

I'm gonna add some more huge names onto my card with my fifth pick:

Spoiler:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KG6OfaMivk

Evolution vs Rock n Sock Connection (Wrestlemania 20)

This match adds five big names onto my card without really losing out on any matches I want in future rounds. Batista and Orton are both on the way up the ladder here, Foley and Flair could still go, and it was The Rock's last match until Survivor Series last year. The match itself is actually pretty damn good for a goofy three on two tag, and is a nice addition to my midcard.

My Wrestlemania Card:

WWE Championship
Hulk Hogan (c) vs Andre The Giant (WM 3)

Streak vs Career
The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels (WM 26)

Intercontinental Championship
Roddy Piper (c) vs Bret Hart (WM 8)

Women's Championship
Trish Stratus (c) vs Mickie James (WM 22)

3 on 2 Handicap Match
Evolution (Ric Flair/Randy Orton/Batista) vs Rock n Sock Connection (The Rock/Mick Foley) (WM 20)

I assume you don't need a pm Phill.

Nice Pick, Teejay. Great match and we get to see a rare Rock vs Flair confrontation that includes the Naitch elbow.

You can fast forward through the parts not involving Ricky Steamboat. The other parts are death.
