Hogan/Warrior was like a really good Stones concert; they did the kinds of things that made millions of people enjoy them, and did it well. Personally I'd never see a Stones concert, but that doesn't mean that the Stones never put on an amazing performance.
That's a pretty good comparison, actually. I had something involving team handball vs. the Super Bowl, but it sounded kinda condescending.

As an example of this he gave Hogan/Andre -4 stars which is completely ******ed.

Still not sure what match I'm gonna take. I'll have it figured out in half an hour or so. LKJ can't snipe me and no one else has enough time to take one of my options so the next guy can go.

I'm ready with my next pick.

With my ninth round selection (and what could prove to be my last pick) I take a match between two of the greatest workers of all time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjQ0HztmsVc

Spoiler:

With this pick I'm simply adding a great one on one match to the rest of my card. It also serve as a nice lead in for the TLC match as the styles are totally different. It's also worth noting that in 6 out of my 8 matches the face goes over which makes my card a pretty great blow-off show.

EDIT: Never mind. I looked it up; it's 22:33.

You know what? I posted a promo, then realized it doesn't make sense given our main event. So skip us for now, I'll let TN decide if we're done or not.

Yeah I was coming to post that but then you deleted your pick. So is Phil up now?

Phill is up. But probably not "up" in the "awake" sense.

Aha! I found another one that works.

This is a really short one, we'll throw it in as a mini-commercial while they're cleaning up blood from Vader/Cactus Jack if necessary. Gorilla and Brain can set this tape up as Heenan and Perfect discuss the upcoming Royal Rumble on WWF Prime Time with Lord Alfred Hayes and Gorilla!

You know what, sometimes mainstream movies are really good. Sometimes indy movies are really good. But as a whole indy movies are usually better than mainstream. The same applies to wrestling.

Steal of the draft. Great match. How WWE got rid of Low Ki, I don't understand. Imagine a WWE with Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Kaval, CM Punk, and Samoa Joes WWE persona.

With my 9th round pick, I select...

v.

Spoiler:
La Parka, Psicosis and Viliano IV v. Juventud, Lizmark Jr. and Hector Garza, Bash at the Beach '97 (10:08)

This is a great spotfest, one of the most entertaining luchadore matches that WCW ever put on. How entertaining, you ask? Well, it's been zapped off of YouTube in several spots by the WWE while the rest of this PPV was left alone. Thankfully DailyMotion did not let me down.

Truly, this is some fantastic stuff, especially after a bit of the sloppiness in the first two minutes passes by. The climax of high spot after high spot after high spot is so fun. Watch it.

Spoiler:
My card:
Benoit v. Eddy
Tag Titles: Steiners v. Sting/Luger
Jericho v. Bore-us Malenko
Bret v. Perfect
Cactus v. Orndorff
NWA Title: Flair v. Steamboat
Savage v. Jake
Juventud, Garza, Lizmark Jr. v. La Parka, Psicosis, Viliano IV
WWF/IC Title: Hogan v. Warrior

But yes, I see what you're saying. I'd be jizzing left and right all up in this biatch!

If one of the criteria that you use to judge a movie is "how many people actively seek it out to consume it", then this would seem to be a generally incorrect statement.

On movies and in wrestling, I fall into the moderate camp.

I'm appreciative of a lot of the big movies that the mainstream spoonfeeds me. I also like indy stuff and am more than happy to sit and enjoy a good foreign flick. I have appreciation for all of it, and I more or less roll my eyes at those who are really absolute and can only find enjoyment in one or the other. But I think I roll my eyes harder at the indy-rific people, because it all just comes across as so try-hard to me.

Ultimately my very favorite stuff (Flair/Steamboat, The Godfather Parts I and II) is generally mainstream, but it's mainstream stuff that I expect most indy fans to highly enjoy as well (and it might even have higher approval ratings amongst the indy hipsters than amongst the general public, since it's the general public who is going to have a significant strain of people thinking that these classics are antiquated or boring in the present day).

Pretty much that.

Except the part about the Godfather. I did not care for it. It insists upon itself.

My favorite Family Guy scene to this day, mostly because I identify with all of the other Griffins who lynch him for saying he did not care for The Godfather. I give the same "WTF?!?" reaction to people who tell me that.

You're not up yet. Dylan is up. Once he goes I can quickly fill in my own pick and yankeys's, but despite Phill being on skip mode right now you'll have to wait on DWetzel/True North before picking.
