We always talk about Cena turning heel in a manner like Hogan did, but could he could do it at WM this year like Austin did at WM17. He could "need" to beat Dwayne so bad that he'll do anything to win, including cheating thus turning heel in the process. Cena's 2012 is very similar to Austin's 2001.
if they had kept Shield and Cena apart, would have been a great way for him to turn heel. I would have booked it into a 3 way at Mania with Punk-Cena-Rock. The Shield comes out, everyone thinks they are helping Punk, they lay out Punk and Rock and Cena takes the title.
He then cuts a promo about how justice is now served, that the top guy has the top title, and the Shield has corrected the ultimate injustice.
Then ultimately when they want him to go back babyface, he can learn he always had the strength to do it, he just stopped believing in himself yadda yadda yadda
You couldn't turn Hogan without Sting, and that's the problem the WWE has (if they even wanted to ever turn Cena in the first place, which I doubt). If they wanted to do it last year's Wrestlemania was the time when he was facing a bigger fan favorite in The Rock and face Punk's star was still rising. Just doesn't make any sense to do it without a legitimate equal on the other side.
Aligning The Shield with Heyman (or anyone else for that matter) was a really big mistake, in my opinion. They were getting over on their own; they didn't need a "name" leader. It really cut down a lot of possibilities for the future for them as well.
what if punk takes the title back at ec. with help from bork/etc. then rock has his rematch clause for mania and cena has his rumble victory for triple threat

does this not work?
I think this is the backup plan if Undertaker isn't healthy.
