for those of you who are familiar with wrestling, mike singletary is EXACTLY like the ultimate warrior. as a fan his intensity is cool at first, but the longer you sit there and listen to what he's saying, you realize this dude is a ****ing ****** (and just like the ultimate warrior, singletary will only be champion once in his career)

in a preseason party with season ticket holders before his first full year as coach, singletary got a microphone and declared to thunderous applause that the niners were "going to play physical....with an 'f'!"
i did not add an ellipsis for effect. he paused after physical, and his punchline was "with an f."
i still don't know what the **** that's supposed to mean. not only is spelling "physical with an f" an affront to the english language and a sign that you're more or less ******ed, but the implication that a football team playing "fisical" is somehow better than a team playing "physical" is just baffling
you know it's actually possible they are playing "fisical" football. maybe alex smith somehow overthrowing a pass to morris in the end zone when he's literally 4 feet in front of him on 4th and goal is "fisical" football. maybe delay of game after delay of game after delay of game because the OC can't relay the play to smith in time is "fisical" football. maybe nate clements deciding like a ****ing moron to run with the ball after making what should have been a game winning interception only to get stripped from behind by roddy white and having the resulting drive end in a game ending field goal by the falcons is "fisical" football.
i mean this must be what singletary had in mind, right? why the **** else despite the team being 0-4 would this ****ing braindead baboon in his weekly press conference say "i'm more confident in this team now then i have ever been"? really you ****ing idiot? you're 0-4. how many playoff teams do you know that started the ****ing year 0-4?
in that same press conference when asked why david carr isn't playing, singletary said (paraphrasing) "we didn't get david carr to compete with alex smith. we got him in case alex smith got injured. we want alex to spend the season getting used to the offense now that he has consistency with coordinators because he's never had that in his career"
there is so much stupidity in this it's not even worth going over except for one point: singletary seriously said he wanted consistency for his QB. the current OC has been OC for 1 game. THAT'S CONSISTENCY WITH A P!!
also i swear to god the way singletary has hired these coordinators who have never done dick in their entire lives it's almost like at this point he just scribbled down a bunch of generic white guy first names, threw them into a hat, and a bunch of generic white guy last names and threw them into another hat, pulled them out and hired them

speaking of this moron's choice of OC's, i'll just repost what i said about the last one:
"he's thrown everyone on this team under the bus and refuses to take any accountability for the team's poor play even though in the press conference after jimmy raye's firing he told reporters "i want everyone to know this is MY team"
this is a guy so out of touch with modern day football that scott linenhan turned down the OC job so he could go to ****ing detroit for the same position. after interviewing 10 ****ing candidates he chose jimmy raye, some dip**** running backs coach from the jets who didn't know yahoo was a website and not a person. he said he wouldn't draft matt stafford if he fell to the niners last year because stafford wouldn't talk to the team's psychiatrist during their interview when he was grilling him about stafford's parents divorce"
every single game when asked how he's gameplanning for the next game and how they're gonna win that game he constantly talks about how the team needs to "believe" they're gonna win. that's it. no gameplanning, no strategizing, just faith and nothing more.
i'm also just gonna repost what i said about this ****stick mouthbreather and the chiefs game because retyping this out would just infuriate me
"down 31-3 with all 3 timeouts and 2 minutes left in the game. singletary decided to run a 2 minute drill using all 3 timeouts in an attempt, as he described it in the press conference today, "to boost morale." the niners ended up getting the useless touchdown with no time left on the clock in a play that injured josh morgan (thankfully not a significant injury, but a show of pure stupidity all the same)"
i hate you mike singletary. the only reason you're still the coach of this team is because nobody else on your staff is fit to be coordinators for a high school much less be head coach in the NFL. sick angle. hire people so ****ing stupid you can't possibly be replaced by them.
the worst part about it is even though you should never step foot in an nfl stadium again unless you're being crucified on the same crucifix you always wear on the 50 yard line (i would be a season-ticket holder for this btw), the schedule is so soft that you may just fluke your way to 7-9 thereby buying another year and letting the man who SHOULD be the coach of this team, jim harbaugh, get snapped up by someone else in the meantime, and because you get 7 meaningless wins, the man who SHOULD be the quarterback of this team (andrew luck) will go to some freezing ****hole town in the north where with time and a competent organization, he turns into one of the nfl's elite qb's (sound familiar?!)
