Did anyone else catch Booker quoting Public Enemy during the Wade vs Zeke match? For some reason at some random point during the match I heard him say "Bass! How low can you go? That's what it's all about, how low can Wade Barrett go tonight..."

That must be some sort of a bet between the commentators about getting song lyrics on the air or something.

Yeah. I remember Matt Striker constantly sneaking The Smiths' (English band from the 80s) song lyrics into his ECW commentary. He did it at least once or twice every episode, although The Smiths mustn't be that well known in America because I was the only one who ever noticed. At one stage it got ridiculous when he just blurted out 'YOU ARE THE QUARRY' completely out of context with the match that was going on.

Quite the excessive use of canned heat on Smackdown this week. I was thinking that Christian was starting to get really good heat during the open; then I heard the completely fake reaction they had piped in for Jinder Mahal, and I decided that I have no idea whether Christian was getting booed or not.

Anybody else think xtian should get a new heelish theme?

Yeah, I don't think Just Close Your Eyes (the new version anyway) really fits him any more. Something a bit darker would be cool.

That Jinder Mahal garbage was a candidate for worst segment of the last 6 months or so. And it is 2011 can't fancy computerized audio packages do better canned heat? It jumps out so badly to me, but at least they don't use it as much as Impact.

And a new finisher, and a new tshirt I really think if xtian wants to complete the heel turn he needs to "go there". Blame Edge for holding him back from the main event scene all those years or something like that.

I do think they should do a sequence where Orton takes another shot at Christian for being carried by Edge, and Christian replies that he was every bit the wrestler Edge was and that Edge "just slept with his friend's girl at the right time, and these idiots in the WWE Universe lapped up every minute of it." Or something like that. Somehow have him turn on Edge.

Just who the **** did he ever make look good? He most recently made Sin Cara look like **** with his baffling incompetence.

I'm enjoying the ridiculousness of this Johnny Curtis gimmick so far.

To be fair to Chavo we have seen him once on TV in like a year and he faced someone whose moves are so out of the mold for WWE that its not surprising he would screw up a couple things likely having had zero practice (as has everyone else). But he is probably jobbing to put everyone over constantly in live events and he is left as a career jobber despite being an above average worker in the company (let alone the industry) and packing a long history behind him.

I doubt he is making a fraction of the money he could be making in Mexico and the company has made it clear to him he will never be getting another good feud let alone title. Of the people on the roster he is one of the few i expect to find much more success in all measures outside of the WWE than in it. Tbh im surprised he didnt request a release a year ago.

Ha ha ha I felt slightly bad for him until I read that. He is old and draws zero heat. wtf did he seriously think he was going to get a big push and not just be used to ENHANCE? They let him be a world champion, be happy with that and go away I guess. And agreed I can't think of him making anyone look good other than maybe Vicky Guerrero by sucking way more and being less relevant.

Smackdown has some really weird writing at times. I like "earning" the title shot, but the way he did so was loltastic.
