There must be a RR thread. I think it should be created soon too.

PPV threads should be created the day after the last Raw before the event.

We should start it after that draft is done, that way people won't get ideas for te draft from everyone's predictions.

yeah we will definitely have an Official Royal Rumble PPV thread, this is purely for pool discussion and the draft. hell i think there should be an Official Wrestlemania thread for 28 since threadzilla is kind of general discussion. we are planning to do the draft the week before RR so having PPV thread start later that week after Raw should be fine imo.

plan is i will use one of the random number generator websites designed for things just like this and share my desktop with you via skype (and whoever else wants to witness) and roll dem dice for each pool. we can really do that anytime once the pools are filled and paid or save it for that Sunday morning of RR.

http://www.randomizer.org/form.htm
has a good tool to do a set of unique numbers 1-30

http://www.random.org/
has some links as well we could use

i think they should just be changed and we do pure final 4 + runner up + winners. makes it easier and prevents having people just get money back for most eliminations and what not:

Final 4: $20
Runner-up: $20 (+ final 4 = $40 total)
Winner: $50 (+ final 4 = $70 total)

that is also information for everyone ITT in case people have questions and think we just rolled some d20s in private and made **** up. i think we should roll the numbers the instant the pools are full and paid so people can start **** talking and bitching about getting #1 or #30

I'm very glad that there is an instance of someone winning the Rumble from #2 (Rey) since I always assumed until then that #2 was the one spot a wrestler couldn't win the Rumble from.

I said that because the numbers for all three pools look similar but the draft is 15 people not 30

yeah you never know when they are going to try and make the Rumble "meaningful" by having a super long run time-wise so every number is viable which is what makes this awesome IMO. also Vince won when he was #2 :/

lol no ****. i do realize that 15 x 10 = 150. but dividing the original pool in half exactly leads to lame payouts. i just never updated the payout table before when we hoped to have a full draft. if you think having $12.50 awards for longest run and most eliminations is cool though i don't know what to say.

Problem is that the person who drafts 15th is in a terrible position for this. I don't think the draft necessarily goes 15 deep with people who have a good chance at final four, and certainly it doesn't go near that deep for people who can win. I think the other prizes should stay.

EDIT: Also this adds value once you get down to pick #30, who clearly has nearly zero chance to win.

but the person who gets pick #30 also got pick #1 so they can deal with it. agreed re: 15, 16 but i am open to suggestions.

Also there will be people picked who arent actually in the rumble

My suggestion would be to toss out the payouts for the 3rd and 4th place finishes and put those into most eliminations and longest run instead. That flattens the difference in value between 15/16 and 1/30 quite a bit IMO.

Just throwing this out there, maybe instead of Runner-Up getting $40, you should have 8th place (or some other arbitrary #) in the Rumble get $40. That way, the mid-card guys are worth more and the "big" money winners don't necessarily have to come from the top picks in the draft. Makes the end of the draft more meaningful somewhat.

(I understand Santino finished 2nd last year, but historically it's going to be two top guys).
