I just have to make sure he gets to play a few games of softball a week to keep his morale high.

Is vik and either flip or tbe around?
Vik only shows up to make his picks so I doubt that anyone knows if he's around.

On a similar note, strictly interpreting it seems the person who took Bruiser Brody committed themselves to stabbing him to death in the shower. Brody is always super over whenever I see a video of him working face and he was considered better as a heel, but I don't know if that is worth it.

Babyface Sid eliminated babyface Hogan from behind late in the 1992 Royal Rumble. The crowd popped for this. Undrafted announcer said, "Hey, it's every man for himself, he can do that." Hogan's character was a little bitch about this and pulled Sid out.

On the videotape release, they edited down the crowd's cheering and redid the announcing to reflect that this was a sneaky move on Sid's part to eliminate the Hulkster like that.

Crowd was starting to go Sid's way over Hogan and they squelched it.

With the 123rd pick in the draft, I select...

Spoiler:

Ron Simmons had an illustrious career of two decades. He had a nice run in WCW including a world title run, and then proceeded to have a nice WWF/WWE run as well. From there, his turns as leader of the Nation of Domination, and then with Bradshaw as first Undertaker's Acolytes in the Ministry, followed by the more normal APA characters, made a nice imprint on wrestling. I think he'll fit nicely into my company.

Simmons was close to the top of my list. Didn't expect him to last much longer.

Obviously you need him in this gimmick:

Another last-minute audible comes into play, and I delete a write-up to instead select (at #124)...

Spoiler:

I just get such a rare skill set with Bam Bam that I couldn't turn it down. I get to add a monster to my company, and one who can very consistently have great matches against great workers. The things that this guy could do in the ring was extremely rare as far as big men go.

Spoiler:
My roster so far:
Ric Flair
Antonio Inoki
Jerry "The King" Lawler
Bob Backlund
Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka
Scott Steiner
Ron Simmons
Bam Bam Bigelow

Spoiler:
Junkyard Dog

Probably Mid-South's most popular wrestler and one of the more popular wrestlers during his time in WWF, JYD gives me another much needed draw. Having had memorable feuds/relationships with Ted DiBiase and the Fabulous Freebirds only made this pick that much easier.

Spoiler:
Jesse "the Body" Ventura

A 12-13 year very, very solid wrestling career as both a tag team wrestler and an occasional contender for the world championships in Pacific Northwest, AWA, and finally WWF. After his wrestling career ends prematurely I get the greatest of all-time wrestling color commentator.

Best Bam Bam moment:

Shane Douglas hired Rick Rude to find him competition for the ECW championship and on his 3rd or 4th opponent picked Douglas' stablemate in the triple threat, Bam Bam. Awesome intro starts at 4:05 and an awesome finish to this match.

Ventura was very much on my radar and might have gone had it come back to me. Nice pick.

The best part about drafting Ventura is that after he retires from the ring and from announcing you can have him rant about crazy conspiracies on your show.

True draft story:

I traded spots with mooro to specifically get that end of round 4 start of round 5 back to back situation.

The plan was id turn my entire card on its head by going for a wildcard gamble picking up Heenan and [undrafted] for Epic Commentary Team Number One!!! So i do the swap and Heenan goes literally the pick after so im like "**** me hard". Well, ok, plan B is i can do Ventura and the same [undrafted], i havent nearly as much experience of the two but they are highly rated, right?

So i watch half a dozen matches all commentated by the two of them and i feel like im taking crazy pills as i dont get how the two of them are rated so highly. I mean no one would question me if i still drafted them and talked them up, but that aint me.

So i start posting in the thread to see if i can get a plan C using JBL and Heyman who had great but short color commentary gigs to see if the rules allow me to fudge it so i get at least a decade out of them on the desk somehow but no joy. So plan D has me swapping positions to get two guys who no one was even thinking about at the time cursing my luck while at the same time still kicking myself for not taking Orton in round 2 and Christian in round 3.

So yeah, long story short i feel like ive completely botched this draft on nearly ever round but yet may recover to create the best niche federation on the board but not one many will rate highly given Kawada and Misawa can barely get out of round one in the greatest wrestler tournament. My final write up can probably just be me posting 50 5 star matches though, lol.
