I'd like to think Battleground is going to be a stepping stone show to setup the big show next month. But of course it may just be "stuff happens that doesn't reasonably build to much of anything reasonable."

As others have pointed out, while the writing is sometimes subpar, the in-ring action usually delivers. If nothing else, the Seth match and the AJ match should be awesome (though you can write that sentence for any PPV that involves AJ and Seth.)

I read that AJ's last match that was less than 3 stars was from 2012 and it involved 2 Bischoffs.

the one thing that I hate about the brand split is that AJ is separated from the club using a draft.

You'd think there'd be massive money in something along the lines of The Club turning on AJ and joining up with Balor .... if AJ is on his own he's better as a babyface imo.

I thought this until he started talking after he became a heel. As a heel promo he is about 8/10, face 4/10, and if he gets a big push as a face the material will knock him down lower.
