an NWA title match

nor could we have:

A WWF title match
With a WCW title match
And an AWA title match

No. AWA, ECW, etc., those are world titles.

Same rule for women? No 3 Divas, Womens and SHIMMER champs matches for example? Or are they like midcards where i assume any number of US, EU, IC, X Div, ECDub TV, ROH Pure etc matches can be drafted?

Oh I dunno. Limitations on women's wrestling seems weird. I won't limit those matches as long as they're for different belts.

I think you should limit NWA and WCW its the same title. Flair or Sting held the belt when it changed names

The WCW title isnt the same as NWA. WCW made their own title after firing Flair who left with the NWA title itself (big gold belt) which he legally owned, then it was brought back into existence by NWA with another design and was used alongside the WCW title on TV for a while using the BGB design. It bounced around depending on who was under contract to whom, briefly was in the WWF with flair as the original BGB (and is apparently now owned by Hogan (or now his wife in the divorce maybe, lol), the title itself under new design was in ECW for a while, ended up on TNA who then cut ties with NWA and was on ROH briefly.

Its history is documented pretty well on the wiki page including the title holders as a slightly broken and mishapen chain from the late 40s to the present day.

I'm not gonna troll this draft, I'm actually going to draft seriously. I have a good idea of the type of card I want, it should be really interesting to see which matches go where.

It should go all over the place. At the end of the day its for fun. My goal is only go with non WWF/WWE matches.

Officially expanding the field to 15 as of right now, so two spots are open for the first couple of claimants. I do feel pretty firm about stopping at 15 though.

I've made a pretty rough "dream" draft and it only includes one WWF/E match. I'm hoping this leads to as much fun wrestling watching as the tournament did, but with a little less WWE emphasis.

I'm going to try to have a card that makes sense and not just a collection of great matches. I would almost like a rule where you can only have one championship match not two. I think it would make drafting more interesting.

For what it's worth I only aspire to have one world championship match for myself. I don't know what others think of having that as a rule.

No pretty certain the NWA broke up with NWA either before Flair left or when he came back. The change officially happened after Sting beat Flair for the title

so if you have a WWE championship match you can't have an ECW or WCW championship match but you CAN have an IC title match?

if you have a WWE IC title match, can we have a WCW US title match?

I like the two world championships rule. There is no need to drop it to one imo.

The rule, as it stands (and will continue to if it doesn't pick up any more steam), is no more than two world championships.

You can draft more than two (unique) midcard belts IMO. That has certainly happened on WWE/WCW cards. I won't limit tag championships either.

An overload of title matches on a card ends up looking sub-optimal to me as a fan, but I'll leave that up to each drafter to build their card that way if they want to.
