AEW is not responsible for this match. Because it dropped some of the house lights. And now let's cede the floor to its full-time ring announcer to continue to act as host of the match.

Lol yeah, but it’s fun. I dig it.

So this does mean W/L doesn’t count, which is a little more pertinent to AEW

As far as I can tell, there is literally no difference between this and any other no DQ match.

If ever you're going to execute this idea in a way that isn't completely stupid, it needs to be for an impromptu match where company officials simply can't contain the situation so they stand back and let the guys try to kill each other.

I think LKJ wants to see people actually kill each other.

Inspired by that commercial: I recently rewatched the original Star Wars trilogy.

Ep IV >> Ep VI > Ep V

My childhood opinion, as well as the apparent consensus opinion more broadly, was that Empire Strikes Back is the best one. Nope.

Bruh, Return of the Jedi is TERRIBLE. The only good part is Luke/Vader/Sidious in the throne room (which is amazing).

Han Solo literally has nothing to do in the entire film. He’s just there.

I guess that's just not how I've taken it. This dates back to WCW/NWA when they used to do this crap, and it was always supposed to bring across "****, this is serious and is going to go further than this company would actually allow them to go."

It hardly comes across to me like it's supposed to be some intentional self-aware parody.

I was very non-plussed about them taking 45 minutes at the start to resolve the stupid Jabba the Hut bounty, but the Luke/Vader stuff was so much meatier than that in Ep V.

AEW is not responsible for what happens, but the guys running sound definitely did not go home.

Anyway, Kingston/Homicide were a fun team in NWA, this is a welcome development.

Perhaps "we take no responsibility for anything that happens, but we will collect the full gate" would work for me if they called it a Vince McMahon tribute match.

I did enjoy it all the same. But just call it a death match or street fight next time.

Well that was alright I guess, but nothing compared to Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Wednesday's Dynamite was also pretty much just the one match. Thankfully the one match accounted for over a quarter of the show and was great, well worth the watch by itself.

It’s generally not my thing (scI-fi usually isn’t), but I thought I owed it another watch after 30 years or whatever. I only ever saw IV, V, VI, and I. Jar Jar Binks was too much to abide, so I gave up on the whole franchise in 1999. I may revisit the other stuff now though too.

I feel you. Most of the new stuff is great, highly recommend. The prequels are terrible but have astonishingly good worldbuilding.
