You're way out of line.

And this might be the 3rd time I've responded in this way on this forum since I've been here.

I can't recall you saying something like this on the new forum. But you are absolutely right IMO.

Is this some masterful two-handed level?

I haven't been to Vegas since summer of 09 but at that time I played some 4/8 lhe at the B. I distinctly remember a hand where I flopped the nuts with AsJs. Based on the pre-flop action my opponent folded the top set face up. I asked him how he could fold that in limit. He said, I see you flopped the nuts and you're gonna make me pay the max to draw on you. I said which card is the As and he pointed it out. I was like wtf? Haven't played there since.

Most people who know gobbo even a little bit knows he wears the badge proudly. He even used to have it as his undertitle.

Someone should post a pic of this. Wondering if an iPhone or whatever can actually pick up on the nuance of this...actually, I presume you'd need to see this in person, when "shadows" are involved...

Ok, tx. The apparent poke went right over my head. I wish that fellow had at least tossed in a so I'd get it.

Thanks for the defense, but it was indeed an inside joke. It doesn't even register to me as possibly a negative phrase anymore.

Speaking of undertitles, think I could use a change. Nostalgia time!

Ironically, Howard did you a favor, sparing you any association with that bunch.

If it wasn't for the strawberry daiquari's the bellagio has, I'd probably see no reason to keep playing there (coming from a low-limit player)

Doesn't he have implied pot odds in limit to call you down?

He's talking about 4-8 LHE. Most of the players at that limit don't have a complete understanding of odds in the first place.

But he had a complete understanding of what the ace of spades looks like from the back.

After something like 10 cards are predicted correctly, Data (the dealer) looks up and delivers one of the best lines ever on any TV show ever: "This is highly improbable."

At any rate, I just pictured gobbo there just yelling out where the ace of spades is every other hand and the floor critters standing around with frowns on their faces, thinking, "The probability of miracle-guessing this is rapidly approaching the miniscule probability that we might be potentially less than fully correct."

I've played Bellagio once or twice per week over the past year. This is the second time I've come across Gobbo's warning. So today I made it a point to pay extra special attention and watch out for these marked Aces of spades and just like the first time around when I read about this...

I see nothing unusual.

Occasionally I would be dealt a card that appeared to be extra bowed. I would get excited- hoping to see an Ace of spades. However, one after the other its... 2d, Kh, 5s, Th, Ad, etc.

It's my belief that there is nothing fishy going on. I mean cmon. Do you really think the Bellagio Poker Room would do nothing if there was an actual threat to the integrity to their games? I'm sure that many decks were inspected after Gobbo brought this to their intention and they just brushed it off once they saw that in many of the decks there are bunches of cards of various ranks and suits that aren't 100% flat.

On a side note,

Many people on this site speak negatively of the Bellagio poker room. Most of the complaints I read are regarding the floorstaff. It's my opinion that these negative comments are coming from the problem-starting, disrespecftul, argumentative, nitty, losing poker players out there whom I win money from every weekend. I personally have never had an unpleasant expirience with any of the floors. I think they do a great job. Keep up the good work B!

props to this sentiment. it's true that in some respects things have become lax at the bellagio poker room (see: service promptness on shift changes), however, for the most part the b is the nuts.

all i'm saying is, if all you winning players wanna line-up for the one 5/10 game at aria or battle team play at the V or wynn, PLEEAse do. all the better for the bellagio players.
