Complete on 3rd, raise 4th. He will rarely reraise you even if he has trips and you can get the pot headsup against a fairly wide range and take a free card every time you don't improve if you want.

If you think you're behind so much you don't want to raise then it's an easy fold. Pot is small.

Thanks gobbo. I don't complete on 3th because K and J after me. And don't raise 4th because V5 double bet ($120) on 4th.

+1. Textbook example of a spot that's a raise/fold decision. If you're ahead, you're way ahead and you should be pushing out people (or charging them to come along) who are drawing to beat you. If you're behind, you have 4 outs to catch up and will have to call 4 big bets to get to show down (unless you fold river UI, in which case you call 3 big bets and then leave yourself exploitable to a bluff on the end when villain bets 2 small pair, a missed flush, etc.)

I'm aware, but the situation is way easier to play if you complete and get raised by the J or K behind you depending on your ideas of how they play. You get a ton of value by completing against the small doors and your hand plays WAY better in a shorthanded pot than multiway.

On 4th, yes, he doublebet but I think he would doublebet there with something like 95% of his holdings. Everyone else didn't catch very well besides you and you just called so it's unlikely you have a super strong holding. Calling is just the worst option because his range either contains enough junk that raising is gaining value (because it's rare he will just fold right away if he has something like J53ddd5) or it just doesn't. IE he just has trip fives a lot in which case you aren't getting good enough odds to call and try to spike your 4 outer. It's one or the other. Your raise looks very strong and it will drive other people out behind you and even though your equity is decent against his possible range, your equity sucks against a bunch of people. You have tens and nines, a good holding for 4th street, but that's not a draw you want to take against a bunch of people.

They aren't in the hand yet so you can't say what they will do. Work with what you do know which is 2 guys limped in with lower cards than your pair so you have them beat extremely often.

If the K or J want to play you can try to work out whether they have you beat on 4th or 5th street.

V4 and V5 is loose and passive. V7 and V8 is new players on the table.

Given that you say he's passive you fold for sure on 4th. His range is either trip 5's obv or he's got two overs to your pair of tens and isn't in bad shape at all. I know some of these players like limping in with AK5 or something to that nature with two Broadway's in hole.

On 3rd, and this might be a little tight, but I wouldn't mind a fold. I don't see us getting this pot HU like we'd want to with two players already limping in PLUS a king and a jack still behind us. Best case in what I'm assuming is a loose game is we get this pot 3 ways which isn't bad. I just think this is a marginal hand in a game where pots are contested multi way. Youd have to play well on later streets to play this hand. Can't call off when guys pairs his door card when a huge part of his range is now trips

Complete on 3rd ...
Instantfold on 4th... Absolutly fold !
1. He has trips , u are in bad shape...
2. your 2x jacks are dead , for the straightdraw...
3.nobody bets with 5s in that mtt pot , he brings a double bet... I would fold it to halfbet too

Save the rest bets and be happy that u came out early

This is awful advice. If you fold everytime a limper pairs his door card and leads out on 4th, you will lose insane amounts of money.

Sigh. I don't know which part of this is more comical the "buy a book" part or the "my stud e-dick is bigger than yours" part.
