I became a stud expert after reading Roy West's simple book "7 Card Stud".

The Chip Reese section of SS1 is a good way to start.

Seven Card Stud for Advanced Players by Sklansky, Malmuth, and Zee. If you have the original Super/System, Chip's section on stud is very good.

You should check out From a Donk to a Stud @ Deucescracked by Joe Tall

I'd have to say start with a simple book like SS1 section, and even I would recommend any basic strat book before 7CSFA. I found that if I didn't read a book that wasn't as advanced first, i wouldn't be able to appreciate and understand 7CSFA as much as I do now.

To tell you the truth, I wrote D2S for confused NLHE players/hold'em players in general to get off on the right path to other games for sure.

Rather than read those other books, you could have read 7CS4AP three or four times.

I have always felt its 2p2s best written book on a poker subject, always. Still do.

"Best written" is definitely not how I'd put it, but it is quite arguably their best strategy book.

From what I've seen, your competition is equally as lost during razz. You seem to have some handle on it, but there is a lot of easy pickins during that rotation.
