Villain in seat 3 just sat down, villain in seat 7 played 10 hands prior, only played one past 3rd, all the way to showdown in which he won.

I find it tough to justify this hand really, I felt I was ahead on 5th, then seat 7 raises on 6th and I knew I was behind drawing for the lead.

That and simulation would be enough for me to bring me to bet, because Seat3 will rarely raise you there. This simulation should "kill" your fear of betting. It would be hell -EV on 5th to let Seat3 check behind with a pair or any crap and to give Seat 7 a freecard.

On 6th, I really dont understand your bet. If both of them are mediocre-solid, and Seat5 didn't pair the 5, they both have a better madehand than yours. The only reason to bet here might be, if your read is they only call with 8s and you call one bet anyway, its the same amount but you dont risk to face a bet and a raise when both made there 8. Of course that read would be not good, because as played they dont flat made 8s.

I will never understand, why even newbies describe their actions by "feeling". Especially in razz, most of the actions can be explained mathimatically and logically understandable. Its not your fault, or that youve done anything wrong, but this way of expression in general tilts me.

As explained a c/c for one bet on 6th is the right line, on 7th I donk 100% vs any opponent, because no mattr how the hand was played before, nobody can fold a 8 on 7th. That would be tooo sick exploitable. GL

I think the problem is that you played the hand too passively on 3rd.
If you want to play this hand it seems like a perfect spot to raise. That way you might have won the pot already on 5th and if you get further seat 7 probably wouldnt raise you on 6th.

You are underepresenting your hand by your limp and then you just donk out 6th.If they put you on 8or 9 or even a brick under, the raise of seat 7 is fine.

*grunch*

I think if you're going to come in with that hand you have to raise 3rd. If you had you would rep a made smooth 7 on 5th and you may have taken the pot right there. When you just limp you look like a rough 8 at best. Seat 3 is likely looking at four to a 6/7 and seat 7 is drawing to an 86 or better. Oh course neither fold to your bet on 5th, but you can't let them have a free card.

Don't like the bet on 6th as they probably both just passed you. I think I'd c/c through showdown UI.

I like the bet on 7th once you improve. I don't think either is folding an 8 there.

You have to c/r the river there if you think seat 7 is value betting an 8 there.
The lower limits are pretty loose.Youll get 3 bets there enough of the time or even 4.
