The paired fives would not be correct to even call one bet on 4th so I see no reason to raise. You're potentially very thin yourself against a likely wheel draw so raising could prove very costly to you (certainly more costly than anything you gain from pushing a player out)

Look at your 4th street and 3rd together- you have one card on the board, you have the worst possible 7, The A already reraised on 3rd, so you have to catch him, more than likely. If the paired 5 has A3 in the hole, I think I'd rather have his hand. Call and be ready to bail.

But--I'd have bet 5th in a heartbeat.

I think you should be rasing on 4th to push seat 8 out. He is correct to call otherwise and could suck out on you.

You should also be betting on 5th street.

Not sure about the river, though I'd check.
