Nice hand!

Hi Rusty, sent from my International Samsung Galaxy S3.

Might have a HU match with British prog rock fan and snooker legend Steve Davis in the offing, each of us putting up prized LPs. No details yet, will keep informed. I'm going to the UK in November, maybe we can arrange to do it then.

He was great in the Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.

Wow, that's awesome! Quietus misrepresented you though so maybe you can make it 8-game?

I knew Steve was a renaissance man, but I would have never guessed at his breadth of knowledge on forest fire control.

Did you forget he grew up in Montana?

My dad Frank Addison Albini was a forest fire scientist, frequently cited in the literature. He also makes an appearance in Norman Maclean's exceptional book Young Men and Fire explaining some of the science behind the titular fire.

Here's a reminiscence from Maclean about playing billiards and cards in my home town, Missoula Montana, that explains how he began rubbing elbows with scientists.

In after Michelson?

How cool. I guess the interviewer had done some deep research.

Nice, please post if this looks like it will go ahead - would be good to watch especially if it is played in a club with a snooker table and that got used too.

Davis is a reasonable player who has cashed in the WSOP ME.

He also plays online - Stars?? and when he plays he keeps a physical stack of chips in front of him which he moves from his stack before acting to try and gives the chips a value rather than just clicking the mouse.

Important to remember it is pronounced snewker (rhymes with nuker). He gets touchy about that . . . .

Would actually be surprised if he plays Stars - he is huge mates with Barry Hearn who will be involved in online Poker here in the UK (for some reason I think 888 but this might be total BS) - it'll be through Matchroom anyway..

He was a multiple snooker world champ - also a pretty good pool player; unless Steve is professional level at that as well I'd be careful with the sidebets...

Speaking of prog rock and Gods....and as this is the LC/Gloating thread; I have tickets for Roger Waters and Nick Mason performing 'The Wall' in entirety in 10 days....not to mention the Aussie Pink Floyd next year with a set on Dark Side/Wish/Wall/Lapse...

am pretty sure I can make at least regular poster on here green with envy!!

My bad, too lazy to use Google, looks like he might play on Ladbrokes.

HE kind of a cop out. Swingo not at its best HU. How about 11-card triple-draw lowball?

Played my first razz sng's today. Felt like a waste of time. Unsure how anyone could specialize in these. Gg's Mischal.

Now, if I get anything, it will be money from the sky. And if a near 5 fig chunk hits me in the head in the next few months, I'll be more then happy to take that hit.. heh.

It took me a while to find my bank's address (OK, it took me 2 minutes to find it, but 20 minutes to convince myself it was the "right" address) but aside from that it was surprisingly smooth.

I know some folks though who had pending cashout checks at the time of black friday, that got cancelled. They're having to hunt down scans of cancelled checks to prove they never got the money.
