I played the Mohegan Sun Monday tournament yesterday. Light turnout, and fairly soft. I don't think the betting was ever capped at my tables. Only about 3 people sucessfully bluffed, from what I could see. The top 3 places paid and I made 3rd, but more importantly, I got my deli coupon

Also, they were training the dealers for a high stakes badugi game they plan on running when Daniel Negreanu is in town for the NAPT.

Just got back from AC (was there Wedn, Thur, Fri). Borgata and Show Boat did not have a single Stud table. Taj had many $1-$5, $5-$10 and higher limits (seen $40-$80) available. 1-5 game is just a waste as they dont have anty. Pots on average $6. But $5-$10 games are good with .50c anty. Players are decent with few chasers. For begginer like me it was great. Most players are over 65 and play every day there.

A friend in town emailed me:

There will be a Stud game ($1-5) at Harrah's (Las Vegas) at 5 pm on Friday the 26th of March.

Played stud hi 2/4 at Lucky Chances near San Francisco yesterday. I was the youngest by about 30 years at my table, and in an 8 handed game, there were at least 4 people with very little idea of what they were doing. First hand I played I hit quad jacks. Had 5 people with me up until 5th, 4 people on 6th and 3 people calling me down on 7th.

Good news for us little money stud players. I was at Foxwoods yesterday playing 1-5 & 5/10, and there is now a stud BBJ. It's only for 1-3, 1-5, and 5/10 for some reason. Qualifying hands are quad deuces and above. Not really sure how high this will get, or how high it was - no press or discussion of it the whole time. I only knew of it because of the little orange paper +1 white chip that was set aside for it. I pestered the staff for details on my way out. I don't know if it was busier than normal because of Mothers Day, but there was a 9 person wait for 1-5 and a 17 person wait for 5/10. And a 4 person wait for 75/150 at one point too.

i dont call that good news at all--now instead of having $1 raked at $10 it will be $2 because of the jackpot--but at least u have stud i am in vegas--and is only available on some days.

It's good news because the older crowd will chase even more than usual now. Should make up for the additional rake.

I assume you're talking about low-limit stud. Isn't the 1-5 stud game at Sam's Town running every day?

It's pretty common for only the low-limit tables to be eligible for the jackpot.

Does anyone play low limit stud live? If so, where? I just started a thread in B/M about live stud games in Vegas, and it seems there are none. Where do you play?

Foxwoods has lots of stud games $1-3 through $75/150. I think the Taj is your best bet in Atlantic City, except that it's a ****hole. I think the big casinos in LA have $4/8 stud.

I play at Foxwoods. As Andy said, they have plenty of stud games. Most of the people you play with will be senior citizens, but the games are really good.

as of last week in Las Vegas, Venetian has HORSE that runs every day, and during WSOP the RIO will start a list for any game you can mention, and most fill. If you start a mix game anywhere you can influence the games in play. For straight stud hi, there's the Bellagio 20-40 game that runs essentially every day and a 30-60 game at Aria at least once a week.

Playing at FW right now. Playing 1-5 while waiting for 5/10. Stud always has many games under 10/20 and usually has higher.

AC stud games are dwindling overall. Here's what's left;
Bally's - $1-5-10
Taj - $1-5, 5/10, 10/20, 20/40, 40/80
Borgata - $30/60, 75/150

I couldn't fine really useful or complete information about what I am searching. I am interesting in Razz games in Las Vegas. Better between 10/20 and 30/60.

I searched here and in B&M but could fine nothing concrete.

Is it for Razz, too?

No Razz in AC. I think it's due to the solidity of the players. Either that or it's illegal. I don't think there's ever any straight Razz in Vegas except for maybe when the World Series is running. You might have to resort to fleecing your hapless mixed games opponents during the Razz rounds.

Razz cannot be spread in Atlantic City. Other places it is not spread by choice.

I'd love to see Razz @ Borgata at any limit between $4/8 - $15/30.
I'm definitely not holding my breath on that one though...

I played it on a Saturday evening in July and it was 4/8. It started shortly after 6 PM, but broke before 10 PM.... But it was a good game while it ran, and the V raked only a dollar until we reached 8-handed.

Once they get it going, I'm sure I'll pick a time to go down and then beg everyone I can find within a 200 mile radius to descend on the borg and demand a razz ring game. Prepare to be on that list
