I didn't really want to get into a debate about this.
I think that's called "coaching." And rather than debate, I just asked FT and Stars about their policies, I think I put FTs response above - here is what Stars' Security told me:
Quote:
PokerStars requires that each account is played by only one player, and each
player may only play on one account.
Of course, there is no way to control where that player might get advice from - if they have a book in front of them that details how to play a hand in a particular way, we do not prohibit that.
Similarly, if they have someone by their side (or on the phone or whatever) giving them advice, this is not possible to prohibit using any commercially available technology today, nor against our rules. As a general principle, PokerStars tries to avoid implementing rules that are impossible to enforce.
Clearly, it would be unreasonable and inappropriate for PokerStars to even consider accessing a user's webcam to figure out who else is in the room - so we don't.
Thus, while we would prefer if 'ghosting' didn't happen, since there is literally no way of enforcing such a rule, we do not have such a prohibition.
Since there is no prohibition, I was thinking of renting out my account to any high stakes player who'd like to have me sit at a table and play my hand for me - I'll take a paltry 15% of the winnings - or - maybe they'd like to stake me to some WCOOP event and then tell me how to play. I'd want a bigger cut, though. Like 30%.
The $ making possibilities are endless for a micro who needs to build a bankroll! And, as it violates no rules, we can have whole threads about how it's going.
(offer only good on PokerStars)
Prax<--thought that webcam comment was freakin' scary -
