Given that - I tend to stick to a big hand and just hope....you haven't mentioned the payout structure or whatever, how much 'in the black' are you for this tourney? Are you a pro or an amateur i.e is getting 4th as opposed to 5th important, or do you want the win for kudos and so on...how long do you have left before the games change and are you better at Stud 8 and so on..?
Don't get me wrong - I suspect you are beat; however he could have KK or JQ in the hole, even if he has a T you are not drawing dead, I would think that someone with half a brain and the small stacks would 3 bet you with AA or TT and just get it in - given the action so far I think you have to call and (probably) pray...but that is just me (who is not a pro and so is ok to come 5th rather than 4th and try to win!)
I probably play hold'em the best, but started playing stud first so have a decent amount of live hours. The rounds didn't cross my mind, as it's only 8 hands per.
I wanted to win(and had quashed talk of a chop.) Payout for first was 14xx and 5th was 300ish. So it wasn't a HUGE jump

If it were a different player, or a bigger "event" I would have paid off, but my read was he was super strong and super duper fishy...I'm just not sure where the line is between trusting my gut and "you're a F##(@#(@ idiot you don't throw away fulls heads up on 6th ever! In hindsight I probably was on the call down side of the line, even with the instinct to fold.
