I don't know how and I'm not proud of this hand but i swear on 6th i was thinking I have 17:1 odds and aces are totally live if I hit trips here I think I may be ahead as long as seat x doesn't hit his draw on 7th. I put seat 5 on queens as he was loose and raising a lot. Maybe hit trip kings on 4th with kings in the hole. But since seat 1 wasn't raising like he had a FH I felt it wass right to call for a miracle card on 7th.

um why isn't 2 pair, much less trips, good like..30% of the time in this situation, even counting the river?

You were planning to check-raise the river, right? I wouldn't have shut down nearly so quickly. I'd three-bet fourth and take it from there.

I checked thinking seat 8 may have hit his flush, and thinking someone else may check raise me. Can I call being check raised by seat 8?

eh maybe you're right (probably are right) I shoulda value bet the river.

You act before seat 8, so he can't check-raise you. If it comes to that, I'd call his raise and not like it. Folding good hands for one more bet in huge pots is not the path to riches in limit poker.

I'd repop 4th & bet the river.

Maybe I'm wrong because Stud Hi is not my game of choice, but isn't 3rd clearly a fold?

I can see limping it and calling a completion but calling 2 when it comes back to you, with a person behind you who can raise again, seems a little loose.

figure they have queens battling for kicker. I have a live ace draw and live diamonds. Let them build a pot and i'll take it down with many outs.

I'll play this hand four ways for two bets every time and like it.

we'll make a flush approx 19-20% in this spot. include aces up etc i think we have >25% equity here. we can also make extra bets when we jam 4th/5th with our diamond draw. this hand is worth playing.

On 3rd, I think I wince when seat 5 reraises, but there are 4 players and I'm closing the betting, and like everybody else has said the are live and I have a live A. Additionally, the optimist in me would say "I know where all 4 queens are and don't have to worry about any of them showing up in my board cards."

I ran twodimes.net simulations for 4th and 5th streets. I gave seat 5 the two pair on 4th street, because that's how he played, and I also didn't give seat 8 trip sevens on 3rd, because he did not play that way. (twodimes rearranges the card order in its output)

I'm not sure how to use this information, but maybe somebody else can. All I can tell is that you're the favorite with your aces all the way. Seat 8 hit his trip 7s on the river, but you did him one better and hit your trip aces.
