I suspect there are formats where strategies never stabilize, except at the local level. I'm not sure that online limit stud existed long enough for us to know if it would continually cycle through LA - TA - TP - LP strategies. Too me, it's a dead cause.
As a longtime live player, I can say that these strategic cycles occur over the years, but mathematically I provide too small a sample size to have any significance. Also, these strategic changes can be triggered by things like rake adjustments, so it's difficult to know if strategies are inherently unstable or at least non-transitive.
This would be a good place for a rant/troll about the political stupidity of destroying online poker, but I'll let it pass.
