Thanks for your help in my quest to learn this game, you have all been helpful, better than the LHE guys when i first started, big complement to you (you know who you are

Having said that...couple of things that I think i need to watch.

----W$ASD should be pretty darn close to 100% on PT considering that it counts splits as well.

----On 6th street if i don't have a side pretty much luck OR have a draw to a scooop, then i should start thinking bout folding.

----It seems like alot of my money that i have been spewing is on 5th or later chasing a draw to the best low, or "hoping" my 2 pair is best, or chasing a flush with no low, etc etc.

Im finding a ton of folds on 4th and im VPIP around 18% which i think is about right.....

Thoughts? Am i on the right track?

PT gives you 50% W$SD when you chop, I believe.

One key difference between stud hi and stud/8 is that you should consistently be folding 6th street in E.

Just follow the rule of thumb, if you aren't favourite for one side or the other, or don't have a strong two-way hand ... then fold, especially if the pot is small and/or the other players are making you pay a lot of bets to draw.

VPIP of 18% is very tight.

Hmm, I don't think so. I'll check later. Anyway, although your w$sd should be higher, I think numbers between 65 and 70 are fine, no need to approach 100% - you might be folding too easily.

Very, possibly too tight. Depends on the ante structure of your game, I think this is def too tight for FTP. I'm somewhere between 22 and 25 full ring.

This is what fpdb does now. Would it be better to have W$SD be any win and have another stat that would be "scooped at SD" = S$SD? That way 1 - W$SD would be "got scooped at SD". So if you saw 10 showdowns, split 5 of them and scooped 2, then your W$SD would be 70% and your S$SD would be 20%.

I don't use PT, so I don't know what a good number is for W$SD is, but I doubt it approaches 100%.

By sixth street, the pot will often be substantial. You'll want to take this into account before you fold.

A VP$IP of 18% is pretty tight. The game would have to be pretty aggressive for this to be optimal, and I don't think you play in games where aggression is the norm.
