Hey guys, i decided to try to really work on my razz game and start analyzing hands after each session. Im going to try to post a few hands here a week and we'll see if we can get a good discussion going. The villian is the same person in each hand and he is BAD, calling 3rd street often with a junk card showing when im showing a low one, chasing far too often with weak hands.

1 Razz ($2/$4), Ante $0.40, Bring-In $0.50 (converter)

3rd Street - (0.40 SB)

Seat 2: xx xx 5___brings-in
Hero: 5 T A___folds

Total pot: (0.40 SB - $0.80)

Is this way too weak of a fold heads up? or completely standard? does playing a bad opponent make you lean more towards raising? folding? just cold-calling the bring-in?

----------------------

2 Razz ($2/$4), Ante $0.40, Bring-In $0.50 (converter)

3rd Street - (0.40 SB)

Seat 2: xx xx 3___completes
Hero: 9 8 5___brings-in___calls

4th Street - (2.40 SB)

Seat 2: xx xx 3 6___bets
Hero: 9 8 5 A___checks___folds

Total pot: (2.40 SB - $4.80)

Lost here

----------------------

3 Razz ($2/$4), Ante $0.40, Bring-In $0.50 (converter)

3rd Street - (0.40 SB)

Seat 2: xx xx Q___brings-in
Hero: A 8 Q___folds

Total pot: (0.40 SB - $0.80)

This is similar to the 1st hand, i think i should probably raising with this hand

----------------------

4th Street - (2.40 SB)

----------------------

3rd Street - (0.40 SB)

Seat 2: xx xx 8___brings-in___calls
Hero: K 3 2___completes

4th Street - (2.40 SB)

Seat 2: xx xx 8 6___calls
Hero: K 3 2 7___bets

5th Street - (2.20 BB)

Seat 2: xx xx 8 6 9___calls
Hero: K 3 2 7 9___bets

6th Street - (4.20 BB)

Seat 2: xx xx 8 6 9 J___checks
Hero: K 3 2 7 9 Q___checks

River - (4.20 BB)

Seat 2: xx xx 8 6 9 J xx___checks
Hero: K 3 2 7 9 Q 8___checks

Total pot: (4.20 BB - $16.80)

i dont even know what to say about this last hand, i think 3rd/4th might be pretty poor but the rest standard after that

Normally, just post one hand per thread. Otherwise, it's too difficult for people to keep track of which hand a poster is discussing. I'm not one of the experts on 2+2, but I'll put in my two cents, anyway.

Hand one. It's heads up. I'd raise anyone. Regarding the question about playing against a bad player, it depends on what tendencies this individual has. If he or she calls too often, raise when you have the best of it. If he or she's frequently raising with a dog (but folding to a reraise), call it down occasionally.

Hand two. It's heads up, so your 98 might be best. I'd be likely to take off another card. Your board looks good.

Hand three. I'd raise. Give the opponent an opportunity to fold.

Hand four. You might have the best hand. Heads up, the opponent is often going to have a high card in the hole. Still, I'd be inclined to fold it, as you did.

Hand five. I think you did well on third and fourth street. After all, it's heads up. On sixth street, you don't want a check-raise. I'd check it down as you did.

#1: complete

#2: call 4th, fold 5th unimproved

#3: complete

#4: good fold on 4th

#5: steal attempt is fine on 3rd, rest of the hand looks ok to me.
