Im 15 handed and my Jacks are dead...I will often just keep firing to try to get some people to fold in vain but decided to just keep it breezy.

If seat 3 bets out 5th I prob. just fold and I didnt really want to bet since most of my outs are gone - thoughts?

6th I was going to fold but then with seat 3 and 4 dropping I figured im up against just a draw with a lot of dead diamonds and lower 2 pr.

River seemed like an easy bet after the checks...

As played, I bet out 5th. This is when most people are ditching their hands and that's what you wanted to achieve. I may fold this 3rd being in EP with a fairly dead hand. When your jack comes off on 4th I can almost reason folding 4th here being multi-way without much equity. I like a call on 3rd and looking for an opportunity to either ditch it cheaply or knock people out.

With my pair dead in EP and 2 people already limping in front of me, my standard play would be to limp along and see what happened on 4th. If you had done that, you may have been able to find a fold after 4th came pretty horrible for your hand in a multi-way horse race. As it played out, I think 5th on pretty much went as it had to. I hope Js up won!

I like raising 3rd, although you have 2 limpers, you still need to try to knock out some of the guys behind you.. Once 4th street comes, I just fold.. Dead jacks do awful multi-way, you'll never know where you stand.. I play 5th/7th the same.

I like everything, but I'm not really sure about 6th. I know that if we catch 2 pair we're good probably about 60-65 percent of the time, but no jacks, 2 fours, 1 five, 1 seven and 3 nines. Isn't that a little slim?

Well on 6th I think I have more than enough in the pot to call even at 60%:

I cant really call if I dont improve so that is -1BB 20 times I whiff but I am +11 BB at least (could be more as it was here) on 60% of the 7 times I hit = 46.2BB. and am -2BB the 7 times when I hit and get beat 40% = 5.6BB

46.2 -20-5.6 = +20.6. That can't be right can it? I must be missing something.

I'm sorry but this doesn't make much sense if you are folding on 4th. You already have fairly dead jacks multiway on 3rd. It's unlikely first two limpers are folding and there is a possibility people are coming in for 1 bet. Like you said dead jacks do awful multi-way so it's best to get in and out cheap.

Agree to an extent, but most of the time you aren't getting 3 cold-callers. the completion is to try to get those overcards to fold. Sometimes this is better accomplished by the c/r on 4th but that is pretty speculative since you dont know what position you will be in.

Now that they do come along on 3rd in this case, I can certainly see the argument for just dumping it on 4th...I can't really have 20% equity here with my superdead hand no 4th.

I can see your point. It does depends a lot on how the table is playing. If you know there are passive players left to act it may change my mind about playing this hand.
