1 hand per thread!

hand 1: i think there is an argument for all 3 actions... it depends on who the player is and table history. this hand is pretty marginal but its 4 handed so maybe you should get involved.

hand 2: when the completer has an 8 door card and none of your straight cards are dead you gotta call here. you're drawing very live, only one 4 is gone for a pair out and the 8 is gone but its hardly desirable to catch one anyway. this is about as live as your cards can be, its a good situation to get involved even though your hand isn't stellar yet.

hand 3: this is a razz hand but your hand is very live and you're playing against a high hand. plus you have a live 2 flush. the book says fold razz hands in stud 8 but it also says there are always exceptions and IMO this is one of them. call, planning to raise any low card on 4th street including those that pair you.

Open completing hand 1.

Flatting the complete in hands 2 and 3.

I would play all three hands.

Qualifier: in hand one, it's short handed so this becomes playable. In a full ring it might well be a fold depending on the action and doorcards.

+1, though I'd probably still limp it with the ace and the smooth 8, depending on what else was playing and what was behind.

Wouldn't recommend playing short-handed if you are unsure whether to play these hands...

hand 1: open, b/c u may likely take down the pot or go into a race where ur equity is close to 50%. [(take down the pot) + (50/50)] /2 = +ev
hand 2: call. c/f if villain hits and u brick. otherwise c/c.
hand 3: fold, a showdown will almost always be seen, unless u hit good on 4th and 5th. rake is a killer
