I have been bluffing, it works, but you really need to identify which individuals will fold to a bluff. A lot of older players will check to you then auto call any raise you make - shut down your bluff on the river.
Today was a weird table, this one 40ish guy was sitting with 400 in black chips behind and had giant sunglasses on. Another 1/2 player who thinks he belongs on HSP or at a final table playing for a bracelet. He was holding a big grudge against me and was snap calling every raise I made. I was having fun at his expense all day. The rest of the table was pretty tight.
If you show a single bluff at a 1/2 table everyone is going to become skeptical of everything you do for the next 5 hours. This could be good or bad depending on how you are playing. I deal well with constant table attention. I probably need to stop showing so many hands, but it has been working to my advantage.
I got caught up in the "table battle" a little too much today, a couple of hands could have went against me because I was a little out of control. I am working to better control my emotions.
There appeared to be some new dealers in the rotation today, not sure because this is only my 3rd Monday afternoon playing.
