I cant comment on the action but I can tell you that Sands is a 100bb 2/5 game unlike Parx. They also spread a 5/5 game which is 200bb I believe and 5/10 I'm not sure on the cap. All three run on weekends.

Isn't 95 the NJ Turnpike? Is that anywhere near Sands? Do you mean 78?

You take 95 to Parx. He must mean 78 or 287.

Yea it depends on the player and your image, but for the most part there isnt much bluffing at the 1/2 level.

I sat down at a new table sunday morning and to my surprise Jamie Gold's mother was at the table. She was actually pretty decent in most spots. Of course she played every hand and was hitting rock solid boards. After an hour or so an older guy chased a flush and got there and she stormed outta the poker room.

From like 1PM-6PM the traffic was still brutal, I was driving back to Jersey and it still stretched for miles. From what I can tell the construction seems to be going pretty much 24/7 at this point.

Someone told me at the table today if you get off the first exit in PA then follow the signs to merge back onto 78W you can bypass a lot of the PA congestion after the exit.

I have been bluffing, it works, but you really need to identify which individuals will fold to a bluff. A lot of older players will check to you then auto call any raise you make - shut down your bluff on the river.

Today was a weird table, this one 40ish guy was sitting with 400 in black chips behind and had giant sunglasses on. Another 1/2 player who thinks he belongs on HSP or at a final table playing for a bracelet. He was holding a big grudge against me and was snap calling every raise I made. I was having fun at his expense all day. The rest of the table was pretty tight.

If you show a single bluff at a 1/2 table everyone is going to become skeptical of everything you do for the next 5 hours. This could be good or bad depending on how you are playing. I deal well with constant table attention. I probably need to stop showing so many hands, but it has been working to my advantage.

I got caught up in the "table battle" a little too much today, a couple of hands could have went against me because I was a little out of control. I am working to better control my emotions.

There appeared to be some new dealers in the rotation today, not sure because this is only my 3rd Monday afternoon playing.

I was on a Transbridge bus from NYC that did exactly this once - it felt like it saved about 10 minutes. These guys have been doing the run for years and know all the tricks. (Transbridge is based in Allentown, and has been bringing people from Eastern PA to and from NYC long before the Sands opened.)

I think this particular construction is due to finish in September, and they seem to be busting their humps to finish it on time. But I also remember reading somewhere that there is more coming next year. Route 78 has lots of commercial traffic, and the road takes a beating from all the trucks.

Where did you hit the traffic? If before exit 3 in jersey try taking 22 to PA, take all the way to pa 378. There are a number of side streets you have to take when you get off 378. Check google map for exact streets or your GPS will guide you in from there.

Don't sit at my table then. I will 3-barrel buff with air, but then again I have a tight table image just for that reason.

Does anyone have a GPS address I can put in for Bethlehem that is near the casino? My maps are outdated I guess.

I want to try getting there through the back roads as someone else suggested.

Try anything on daly ave. or east 3rd street. If you look at map you will see that 378 runs into east 3rd that runs into daly ave.

Traffic on 78 W a total disaster after lunch. Took back roads after toll only to get stymied by an accident on 22. Trip from northern NJ took 90 minutes longer than usual.

BBJ hit tonight on 2-5 table for about $270K - straight flush over quads.

Thinking of taking another trip out there, but my friend only likes to play 2/4 Limit.

Unfortunately when we went about a year ago (Before the expansion) they only had the 3/6 game so we have been going to Mt. Airy.

Do they now have a 2/4 Limit Hold Em game or still only 3/6? Thanks.

No 2-4 just 3-6, plays the exact same.

Have a rare Friday afternoon free tom'w and heading to play $1-$2 NL. Only other Friday ses I played was nice and soft.

If any 2+2ers are there, I'm middle-aged, wearing a "Santa Monica Pier" cap.

Will be interesting to see how busy the Sands is tonight with AC closing down. I read that all AC casinos may be shut down as early as 2PM today. You think a Friday night is usually bad at this place, it will be nuts if the AC prediction comes to fruition. As long as there is a O8 game I do not care if people are sitting on the tables. Think we will be in for a real busy weekend.

Thinking about getting a room for Saturday night to ride out the storm. Rooms are still available so I'm not sure how busy it will be, unlikely people will leave their house during the storm.

I'm also contemplating making a trip before the storm arrives. Looks like buses take you there.
