hello csabo17, love your posts, post more stuff about whats going on where you work, tourney numbers, payouts and what all of us players want to know, blind structures, but we are thankful for whatever morsals you give us, nothing like getting your info from someone who works there.

What info would you like? I think i posted the structures and everything for our tourneys. During the week we usually have somewhere in the neighborhood of 55-70 people, its normally somewhere around a grand to win. They pay the top 10 which i think is a little steep, even with 55 entrants they pay 10.
Just let me know what questions you have....

csabo17, or others that may know...

1.How big is the waiting line usually on weekdays? I'm thinking about running over for the first time today (90 mins away) and would get there around 7pm.
2. What about Saturdays?
3. What about THIS Saturday, with the big tourney and all?

I just don't want to waste a trip.

It's not, it's the one you know about Friday but I figure at least some of them will be staying the night or maybe the weekend in the area.

Is Wheeling Island even that close to Mountaineer? Friday's tournament is at the Mountaineer right?

Oh, crap. You're right... I was thinking it was Wheeling. That's probably an hour away -- hell that may help keep the lines smaller at Wheeling

Thanks

Phew. I think Wheeling Island is further away for me (although I'm totally clueless and have no idea). But I DO know how to get to the Mountaineer.

1. Weekdays you shouldnt have any problems getting a seat for any limit. If theres a list it wont be long, and theres always open tables to start new games on of the list goes 10+ deep.
2.Completely a different story. If your not on the list by 6 or 7 your gonna be waiting a bit. Ive heard as much as 2 hour wait. ( The good news is i hear there are plans to drop a wall and add 5 more tables!)
3. This Saturday should be normal, the WSOP tourney isnt untill next sunday march 9th. But they are allowing pre registration now starting march 4th. So id say it will be full before saturday anyway.

Also im off untill monday, small vacation. So ill hopefully run into some of ya after monday!

Mountaineer is pretty much 45 minutes from Wheeling driving up rt 7 and crossing over after stubenville.

I am thinking about going Wheeling and play in the WSOP satellite, and I was just wondering what the payout was? How much money does first place win? And what are the other payouts? Thanks

First place is the WSOP seat plus a check for $10,000. I am not sure on the exact payout structure for the rest of the places so I don't want to post something that is incorrect. I know that only the final table is in the money.

Even though the structure is horrible and they start out playing 11 handed I think I am going to play in the next one. A couple guys I regularly play with seem to think they are fun so it will give me a chance of pace. I would definitely recommend registered on the first or second day they open up registration.

For the last tournmanet registration started last Tuesday and it was supposedly filled up by Thursday.

You may want to check out Mountaineer as they just posted their WSOP satellite schedule, same blinds/chips but they are occurring more often www.mtrgaming.com.

I Think Mountaineers first tourney flopped didnt it? Only 62 entrants, not real sure why they would try to have them on the same day?
Im not 100% on exact payouts either, I do know second is $7500 and in the first one the final table took $2400 and played for the seat.

So does Wheeling start out with 10,000 in chips, and you can get an additional 2000 chips for five bucks? Same as Mountaineer??

Hey Christopher, I think I may have figured out who you are on Friday night. Did you show up, deal one or two hands to the table, then get the green light to go home early?

Just a quick question. For anyone who has played any limits of the FL Omaha/8, how are the games? Looking to start out small, so what would be the average size of starting stacks at the 2/4 table?

Thanks and good luck!

pskank

Reloading at the Argosy takes 1 minute tops. Not sure how that is an inconvenience.

What difference would the stack size make in a fixed-limit game?
