Flip it. 4000 for platinum, 11,000 for diamond. This is tier points only. In Tunica, 4/8 limit and 1/3 NL will earn 17 Tier Points and 100 reward credits ($1 comp) per hour. 2/5 NL should earn 34 Tier Points/hr, not sure about the comp value as that is a decision at the casinos discretion (and I don't play 2/5 nl). Details begin in the middle of the 2nd page of this thread.

So to make diamond, you would need 647 hours at 1/3 NL or 4/8 limit in a year.

Thanks for linking that thread. It answered all of my questions.

It sounds like I am much more likely to get Vegas room offers if I give some action in the pit.

Is the Harrah's 2/5 NL game capped at a $500 buy in? I am looking to make the jump to $2/5 soon but would prefer to play in a capped game initially. Does the Goldstrike $1/3 uncapped game play more like a traditional $2/5?

So is there ever any 4-8 h.o.r.s.e. or h.o.s.e. in tunica? its hard having that as my favorite game because its not really spread anywhere. Also, im going to be in Tunica next month, from april 5th-8th. If anyone wants to try to get one of these games going let me know.

Headed to Tunica last week of April. Anybody know if mixed games or O8 run at all, and where the best bets are for playing those?

Not many mixed games such as horse unless there is a tournament series but you will likely find a 4/8 O8 game at the shoe.

How's the PLO action? I'm guessing mostly weekends only? Looking for 1-2 to 2-5. Will be staying at Harrah's. Do they provide shuttles or is it walking distance to the Shoe? Thanks in advance.

Only if you get me to come to town, find 4 other guys that would want to play it, and convince a casino to run it. I've only played it for real cash in Vegas (mix games). Stud hi and O8 is usually the best Tunica pulls off.

PLO: There is interest in this game. It's a situation where a little organization would help... meaning on the part of the players. You're more likely to get action at the shoe (yes, shuttle).

Triple draw: I assume you mean a small stakes game? If your willing to play ~6-12 or in that range of limit (3-6 thru 10-20) AND you're willing to play quite short handed for a while then you might attract a decent game. Again, shoe. If you want to play higher then you should, indeed, bring the game to town and see what you can negotiate with a card room.

Mixed: I think you may have some fundamental problems with getting the numbskulls that will play at 4-8 to step out of their comfort zone and play 3-5 games simultaneously. However... who knows right? Definitely try at the shoe.

Shoe: Now, I know I kind of sound like a shoe advert here. In my experience they continue to be the most willing to attempt to cater to the players. Meaning, they would ACTUALLY start a list for the games you request. Shoe also (generally) has the biggest pool of players thus increasing your chances. Shoe also has the game board up as public information instead of on some secret sheet hidden behind the counter. "Yes sir, we've started a list sir." really...

Ill ask them to put a triple draw interest list when I'm there. Looking to play fairly small 3-6, 4-8, but willing to go up to 6-12, and play short handed. So if anyone is interested the weekend of 4/20, ILl be asking them to put a list up at the shoe.

I think Shoe was trying to spread a triple draw on sat night. I am not sure if they ever got it going.

Ugh 4/20? I'm probably going to be there the weekend before that. If I was there, I would definitely be in.

Has anyone been going to the weeknight 1/3 game at Harrah's? It seems every night they have at least five tables running. I don't know if they have some sort of promo going or not. If you are going, are the games any good?

They had a promo going. I think it was like a freeroll for top X amount of players (by time) per month or something.

Games were ok. Pretty nitty but easy to spot em.

We gotta try and get a 1/3 PLO or half/half game running during the Delta Classic, I go to school at Ole Miss and will be very willing to drive up multiple times, I'll be playing a couple tournaments but definitely gonna be focusing on some cash

I also think its funny how vastly different the overall gameplay is at various casinos. I play in Vicksburg a lot and the games MOST TIMES are absurdly more loose there, just make a pair and hold on, however my bread and butter is chilling with the older (40+) crowd in Tunica, its super friendly and works better for my looser style, plus I simply love the shoe.

Anyway, point is lets try and get some different games going, tired of ONLY playing hold em. ;D

How are games at Harrah's and the Shoe? Monday has slowed down since yesterday at the Strike at the moment. But, there's a 2/5 running, a couple 1/2, and a PLO.

At the Strike we basically got a 5/10 game going. Playing with "the rock" which is an automatic $10 straddle to the winner of the previous pot.

I need to check out the Strike sometime. I played there some a few years ago, but ever since moving back to the Memphis area I have played almost exclusively at Horseshoe. How deep does the 2/5 game play at strike? I would say the 2/5 at Shoe is comparable to 5/10 as well. It can go pretty deep.
