The pic you saw was of the land-based hotel, not the adjacent floating casino.

Thinking about riding up to the Horseshoe this weekend, have the 1/2-2/5 PLO games still been running? They were a couple weekends ago but with the WSOP it may be way slower.. any ideas? Thx and if not I'll just start an interest list.

Played at the Horseshoe the past 2 weekends - seemed pretty busy then - had to wait for 1/2 NL about 15-20 minutes
The pic was of the valet entrance before getting on ramp leading to the boat not the boat it floats.

Can you still get poker rates on hotel rooms at either GS or Horseshoe?

Depends on where in GA, I think. If you're in south/southeast GA then Daytona isn't too bad a drive.
ETA: At least for poker.

Call the poker room to set it up, 4-5 hours of play daily, $35-$45 weekdays and $45-$65 weekends depending on casino.

Hey bigtex do you know when the next reasonable tournament series is coming back to tunica? The WSOPC was my first experience and it was awesome, and I'm having trouble finding any upcoming ones.

Thanks a lot, this looks very promising and from looking at last year's it draws some nice fields, anything is better than $250 for first place like most of the horrid daily tournaments.

I heard those too. I just booked a room at Harrah's for 7/6-7/11. Any chance you might get down there? Hell, if you want to take a little vacation we can carpool.

"Glorified Daily Tournaments" is a good name since they are mostly $200 1 day tourneys.

I appreciate the offer; however, I'm gonna be in Vegas for this from 7/6-10. Perhaps you should plan to head a little further west?

Funny you should say...I had a stake arranged to play in the big'n, but it fell through so I decided on more modest pursuits. Maybe next time...

I agree Segio-
The buy-ins are low but the fields are pretty decent, much better than a 20-40 player field and at least it isn't 15 min. blinds-- you can actually play some cards.

A small thing I like that they do at these also is that any tournament players who make it to dinner break All get a free buffet. It doesn't sound like much- but it is more than most other tournaments I've been to will do for tourny players.

Hope to see you here in July. Packing today for a week in Vegas WSOP & Venitian...whoo-hooo!
