Luv the taj, I'm on board with this thread.

Question that I've asked before but never got an answer to: At the Taj about 2 years ago people started to carry and pass around hard candies. They seemed to have some kind of hidden meaning as players would often selectively offer/pass them around(I do not think it was collusion). I no longer see it. Anyone remember this or know what it was about.

I'm sure a lot of people don't know where the snack bar is. I see most people ordering from the runners.

I also like eating at The Rim Noodle Bar, but that's much more expensive. I also have a black card, so for quick eats, I can hit up the Chairman Lounge.

The Pho at Rim isn't the best I've ever had, but it is very, very good and an absolutely huge portion.

I love the Taj. It has a certain kiss my ass, streetwise charm.

The floor and dealers by and large do a very good job. Holly is my favorite. I have a crush on her, she always smells good and I love her look and sarcastic attitude. Casimiro is one of my favorites. Also Desi is like from another planet - great dealer though and nice guy.

Desi is.... unique. I like Kelli (you notice her as Sparkles). I just hope she gets better luck health wise.

While I'm on the subject of complimenting the Taj, I do like that they do high hand bonuses a couple times a day. $200 on your comp is nothing to sneeze at, if you're lucky to get it.

I agree with you, but there seems to be no interest in limits between 4/8 & 10/20 in AC. I used to like playing the 6/12 game at Borgata.

This to me has been so weird. I started playing poker and used to always play 4/8, 5/10 and 6/12 at whatever casino had it running. I remember that I used to play 5/10 mainly back about 4-5 years ago. I don't get why some of these games don't run anymore (not that I would play them now unless im playing to just drink and be stupid).

Burger rocks...I don't find it overpriced, in fact pretty good value considering it's in a casino. The noodle bar is less spectacular, as I do not think the quality/price ratio is worth it.

I'm going to be going there this week a few times....when I left there were just beginning to have PLO interest lists pop up...any games running? Are they allowed to do round of each in AC (like 2/5nl + 2/5plo)? Anywhere in AC?

Out of all threads on 2+2 you choose to use this one to complain that there are no LHE games between 4/8 and 10/20? Have you been to the Taj?

the stepping stone games are going because their young inhabitants all want to play 1/2 nl now.

He said between those limits. Typically you don't see anything BETWEEN those limits, like when 5/10 or 6/12 used to run. Yes and I agree that they are all playing 1/2NL now.

I'm going to have to give this place another try. Otherwise from now on I hit Five Guys first then go to the casino.

Taj offers 5/10 LHE

I prefer Five Guys myself. I was really looking forward to having my first burger at Burger and was kind of disappointed.

When was the last time you personally saw this game running on a weekday?

Seriously. There always seems to be an interest list but its never running. I never hear/see this game going.

The point is that Taj offers 5/10 LHE. There isn't a gap between the lowest stakes and 10/20. It's up to the players to sign up/sit down if they are interested.

This thread is specific to the Taj, not AC in general. It isn't right to say Taj doesn't offer games between 3/6 and 10/20 LHE. Maybe some people will read here that Taj offers 5/10 LHE everyday and the game will get more customers.

I wanted to take this to PM because it is borderline off-topic, but you have PMs turned off.

I was actually speaking to the fact that there are no games that run between 3/6 and 10/20 because there's not a good structure encouraging a gradual step-up to 10/20. Whether the Taj is willing to put a 5/10 LHE interest list on its board is of little consequence. (See Destiny's thread on LHE in Las Vegas for details.) I am suggesting that the Taj change its structure to eliminate 2/4 and offer multiple games on the way to 10/20.

As cmurl said, the issue of whether there is enough interest to run them is a different story. But we won't know unless they are willing to spread multiple games on the way to 10/20.

EDIT: Another idea is 3/6, 5/10, 7.5/15, 10/20, 20/40, but not sure if that would work either. I know the Taj spreads the pink chip game during ATLARGE.

Cockpit, you realize that this limit discussion started after this post. Now read it carefully and look at the key word INTEREST. No one is debating whether or not the Taj offers 5/10LHE, I KNOW they do. I go there all of the time. It is a game that does not run because, wait for it...THERE IS NO INTEREST for LHE between 4/8-10/20. Now that quote says in AC, and the Taj on the weekends is pretty much (arguably) the biggest casino for LHE. So when they are spreading a billion 2/4 or 3/6 tables, 3-4 10/20 and like 2-3 20/40 but no 5/10LHE.

That being said, I will be at the Taj tomorrow sometime until like tuesday. Can't wait

Loose the attitude. The post cmurl904 responded to was written by PwnShortStacks. I responded to cmurl's post. And all of it was based on a comment that Taj skips from 3/6 to 10/20 LHE. Your post came later.

PwnShortStacks has ammended his comments to acknowledge that Taj at least offers 5/10, which changes the discussion. Since I happen to think the progression from 5/10 to 10/20 to 20/40 to 40/80 is fine I'll stay out of the debate as to whether or not Taj should offer 6/12 or 7.50/15 games.

It never runs except on the weekends. The consensus in this thread is correct, in that there is nothing between 3/6 LHE and 10/20 LHE which is offered with any consistency. Even a 4/8 LHE game at the Taj would be good to see once in a while but I think Tropicana is the only place in town offering 4/8 (not sure about Borgata though).
