I would disagree with that. we have a Tuesday 10K guarantee that we missed the guarantee on a couple of times, but we have stuck with it and now it's very successful. We also missed the $50,000 Guarantee in the Headsup Tournament in March and had to make up some money. We don't use an asterisk.

The way The Isle owns the other South Florida rooms is just amazing.

I dont see why attendance matters for promotions as all that money just comes out of the bad beat jackpot pools.

No they dont, and I was there playing 2/5 today. There will be 3 seperate 10k guarantees. Sat the 14th, Sun the 15th and Sat the 21st. They all will run regardless of field size is the word from the supervisors there. Also the first tourney will count towards your ante up mag points. And I believe both of the other tourneys will be part of the rounders mag points.

The house is putting up this money and money from bbj's is given back 100% to the players at some point, a % of the money is taken out to seed the next bbj that is all.

All 3 tournaments are guaranteed no matter how many players. It's all house money with no juice being taken unless there is over 100 players.

I played in one of the satellites on Saturday ... The floor person said that $5 of the $30 from each player went towards the bad beat jackpot. The guy also said that all of there tournments are bad beat eligible. Should be good tournments.. see you all there.

could someone post the blind structure for the $100 deep stack tourney on the 14th. also is it $100 for 10k chips and extra $20 for extra 5k chips. so total $120(including house fee) for 15k in chips?

And I seriously doubt that the name of the room would affect attendence in any way
It's a stupid name but has nothing to do with horse racing.

As for the 24 hour thing, they have two licenses probably because they run two "separate" parimutuel meets there... the Calder race meet which runs from May until September, and the "Tropical at Calder" meet which runs from September till January, when Gulfstream opens. It's a technicality really, because they run back to back so you don't even realize it's two separate entities.

stud poker i guess... but who knows?

with horses "stud" can be a verb or location, like "after this race he will be retired to stud", i.e. to become a stallion and make babies. i suppose they could be referencing that but it just wouldn't make sense given studs aren't ever actually at the racetrack. maybe i'm thinking to deeply given the morons who came up with the name.
