I talked to them about 2 weeks ago. All we need to do is show up. Do you play there often? If so, do you think any of the 5/10 regulars would be willing to sit in a short handed game?

I had an odd thing happen the other night. I had played about two hours or so at 3-6 and was down a little. I got up to take a break and walked around for 20 or 30 minutes. I came back to see someone sitting in my seat. The floor had picked up my chips and given away my seat.

I asked how I could have possibly missed three blinds. He said I hadn't, but someone at the table thought I was some other guy that gets up and walks all the time. Based on that they picked up my chips and gave the seat to a regular I see there all the time. They offered to put me at the top of the list, which was empty at the time. I said thanks, but no thanks and left.

My question is what are your rights when you step away from the table? Is three missed blinds a rule or a suggestion? If you get picked up too soon do you have any right to get your seat back? I don't blame the guy that got seated, but does he own the seat once he sits down?

Another question I just thought of is chip security. They picked up my chip, but didn't know who I was. They could have given my chips to anyone. Cameras might have been able to confirm me as the rightful owner of the chips. If the floor give them to the wrong person, do I have a right to the value of my chips? If they are left on the table it is a little different, but when the floor collects them shouldn't they be responsible for their safety? I'm just curious since I did get my chips and nothing was missing.

I seem to remember something about five bucks and a beer...

Hey Abe, I'm likely to wind up in St L again very, VERY soon... on more than one occasion, for more than one reason... buzz me. We'll "do lunch."

There's an exceptionally fantastic chance I'll have a beer in my hand in a ski "resort" close to ST L this coming saturday too...

al (the great one)

Coming to town the 2nd week of January. Is there any place that runs a $2-5NL game during mid-week?

Expect to find me at harrahs for a while today. Look for the truly obnoxious poker-esque hat with red flames.

Were any of you in the 5/10 game at Lumiere last night? I've been playing lower but am thinking about moving up and playing it regularly.

I usually play the 1/3 nl at Lumiere on the weekend. The games are great and the Lumiere really takes care of me, though I'm only a weekend warrior. I've got my 4star card now so I make $1.50/hr in comps, access to the VIP lounge (buffet, $1drinks - pimp!), and free valet.

And like I said, the tables are great! I'm making over $40/hr over ~ 250hrs hours since keeping track. Of course that's during prime time fishing hours. Does anyone know how these games compare during the weekdays?

Lumiere like always. I prefer limit unfortunately so I'm stuck with playing 3/6

Could be the end of an era and possibly a new casino in MO. Also bumps the thread.

Thank God. The President has been about a fourth rate option for some time.

I'll wager that Pinnacle is having some serious second thoughts now about supporting the cap on casino properties in last year's loss-limit repeal.

First, the Missouri Gaming Commission told Pinnacle that the President's license applied specifically to gaming on that particular boat, in that particular location; thus removing any value Pinnacle might have derived from selling the license. Now the MGC is going to close the Prez, which will instantly open up a huge bidding war for the newly-available license. And, wonder of wonders, all the profits from that license will go to the gaming commission.

Tough beat, Pinnacle. You've been shystered. And well.

I think the only PLO that happens is at Harrahs, but I don't know how often or when that runs.

Hey all, started a new thread before I found this one. Dumb move. My question anyway is this, I'm looking to sit down with $300 and play for fun. Would like to profit, but the bankroll is what it is at the moment. Would I even stand a chance as a shortstack at the Lumiere? Or should I just not even bother?

Yeah play 1 2 nl and have the extra 100 on standby. It would be the most fun, instead of shortstacking and being out in a few rounds.

Lumiere runs a 1/3 NL game with a max of $300 buy-in. You will not be short stacking in this game and it is usually enjoyable and beatable. Good luck and have fun!

Awesome. Leaving today. It will have to be a week night when I play, any day better than the rest? Read about Tuesdays being good, is that right?

They're all about the same for the most part, the only thing different about Tuesday is they run a 5/10 NL game also that draws a few bigger bankrolls and some of those players will sit at 1/3 while waiting on 5/10 and create a little more action.
