No I wasn't. You would know me if you saw me I'm sure. Both arms are sleeved with tattoos. I mostly 1/2, and 2/5 NLH with some 1/2 or 5/0 PLO mixed in. No some much tournaments anymore unless they're guaranteed. I play at Harrahs or Borgata 95% of the time. I always wear the blue shark optic glasses with the built in MP3

Not sure that it was her. I just got word that "some girl" ran off with the money and is banned from showboat. i'll have to find out for sure, unless someone already knows. lol, blondie, was my first thought also.

i saw her at the nugget monday night. an older guy ordered food and while he was eating i told my friend, "I bet she talks him into giving her some". lol, yup, 10 mins later she was eating what he didnt finish. seems like a nice enough girl but she is definitely a strange bird

Are you talking about the obnoxious one on table 3 at GN during Sat nights tourn? Seat 7 I think? The one that couldn't shut up talking about hands she wasn't in? If so I can believe everything that has been said or implied about her lol

I have friends staying here on an upcoming Friday. Does Showboat have any poker room rates for Fridays? If you have any details please share.

Please PM me if there is a nearby casino with a good poker room rate that I should consider.

Thanks!
01-23-2014 , 07:09 PM
$99 poker rate on Fridays except during the summer. No rate for Saturdays and $29 sun through Thursday. All CET properties are the same. IDK I'd there is a better poker rate not based on play in town. When are you looking to go down?
01-23-2014 , 07:25 PM
mid-march, but that rate is about equivalent to the standard rate I saw on their website. Unless its a better room.

Interesting article. The folks at Churchill downs thought they were buying into Showboat. Money actually changed hands.

Will the bad weather kill the action this weekend?
02-15-2014 , 09:25 AM
Got back from A.C. last night. There was plenty of action yesterday. Don't know why the weekend wouldn't be busy. The roads are clear - especially in A.C. which didn't get any snow.

I played the tournament on Tuesday night. Apparently the GN now has a $3500 guarantee on Tues and Thurs nights. It killed those two 7PM tourneys for the boat since GN started that a few weeks ago.

18 runners for 7 PM.

Looks like the nugget is really making a name for themselves. I'm here now and there is six cash games going. The room was packed this afternoon between the tournament and high hand, royal and golden quad promotions. who would have thought GN a player in town in the poker industry.

boooom goes the dynamite!

Well Dan is pretty good. Perhaps they will match the guarantee.
02-16-2014 , 06:19 PM
It's a lot more than just the guarantee being matched. Dan is great IMO but there's more than just that. I live in North Jersey and to get a room out of CET I have to jump through hoops and some of my action is on the floor due to my wife. Imagine if you just play poker. You're crap to CET. The nugget put us up for the weekend, show tickets, etc. Granted it's not just poker action I'm expected to give but they treat you well. Unless Dam can tell those higher ups what they need to do Caesars won't be the only room CET will be closing in town. Quite a few CET regulars I know from over the years are playing at the nugget now. We'll see what they're going to do. I'm gonna go with who treats me better. The loyalty I've shown CET over the years hasn't got me enough to compensate with the aggravation I get when it comes to rooms, comps, etc. We will see. LET THE GAMES BEGIN.
