Congratulations on your win.
You are confusing the freeroll and the tournament of champions.

The Free roll you must earn your way in by playing a minimum of 50 hours live play in the poker room.

You won an entry into the tournament of champions. You get in that by winning any of the daily tournament events (1ST Place). That will be played in the showboat poker room on Feb 14th 10AM. The prize pool for the T of C is based on the total number of entrants ($1 for every entrant all month long) at all four Caesar Ent Properties. The Prize pool is usually between $8,500 and $10,000. We usually have about 180 players in that tournament. The daily events are usually much larger on that day as well.

See you on the 14th and Good Luck.

The dealers at the boat USED to be friendly and very good dealers.. UNOFRTUNATELY many were making in the neighborhood of 100-120 a day so they left to phily, florida, delaware, other AC rooms, or left to make better money at another job. The Glory days when D.U. was running the room and everyone was friendly are LONG gone. The dealers now are borderline incompetent and way over his or her head. It's not Dan's fault. it is what it is!!

Instead of bemoaning the current state or dealers there do what i did... settle at a better house and remember fondly the good ole days!! They can never take the memories away!!

If this is the problem, you must hold current management responsible. I used to love playing in that room! The dealers didn't make much money, but they were required to do their job well. The supervisors and Manegers maintained controlle yet didn't have any more resources than they do now.

I've played a ton of the daily tournies at Showboat and am shocked to read the complaints about the dealers and supervisors. I have only had one problem there in my life.

When playing cash, I always lean over to look at the bravo to make sure my name is logged in. Once, several months ago I was playing and saw my name in the spot. I never left but a little while later noticed a different name in my seat number. I said something to the dealer and he made a comment about the brush probably setting up a friend for comps.

Other than that one incident I have never had an issue with anyone there.

Showboat thread getting alot of attention recently, I used to play at showboat all the time maybe 2-3 summers ago. used to love playing with the young kids and the old nits haha. than the games dried up.
I played the 11 tournament last friday ended up chopping it 5 ways, key hand was when i jammed with q3 into a reg and he called with his kk oops, but 2 queens on the flop saved me haha. after tournament played cash for like 2 hours and rolled up to like 1100 after being in for 400 but bailed after that when noone had over $100 on the table
Have not seen any problems with the dealers during tournaments or cash.

whats the comp rate for 1/2 nl here? I'm coming to AC in a couple weeks for a night to play poker and trying to find the best rate. Also might play in the 11pm tourney here

The 11pm is not guaranteed to run every night. Mon-Thursday is 50/50. You're better off playing the 11am, 2pm or 7pm.

The comp rate for Showboat (as well as Caesar's and Harrah's) is $1 per hour for 1/2 NLHE. Bally's pays out $1.50 an hour for their 1/3 NL game.

Unless things have changed in the past 2 weeks, while I've been away.

$1.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour bonus sunday through thursday Which puts the 1-2 No limit game at $2.00 per hour and the 2-4 Limit game at $1.50 per hour.

Please explain "rewards credits", " full raked game". Can I use "rewards credits" for hotel and restaurant at Showboat? Thank you

Thats good news, i'm hoping to play the 11pm friday the 17th.

Hows the 1-2 here compared to the borgata? Especially on a Friday night, would it be more worth my time to just drive over to the borg after the tourney? or just stay at showboat

Rewards add to your comp dollars. 5K rewards credits = $50 in comps that you can use for anything you like. These can be used at Showboat and can be saved and used at any of the Caesars Entertainment Properties. The Total Rewards card is the strongest "Rewards system in the casino industry. Most places Like the Borgata and the new Revel only have one or two locations where you can use your rewards. Caesars Entertainment Rewards can be used all over the world.

By at least one full raked game I simply mean I must have at least 6 active players in order to run the promotion for any given time period.

You're right, of course. Thanks for the correction. I was speaking of the base comps, and forgot about bonus comps.

I used to work there and to me I didn't care if i made 10.00 or 100.00 a night. I wanted to deal there instead of say Chester pa, or borgata because showboat was family, the dealers there looked out for each other and not backstab one another, it was fun! I enjoyed dealing there and made alot of friends there in my 7 months, reason I picked showboat because I used to play there alot and got used to the dealers, next thing I knew I was eating dinner with them :-) it was a very good experience, now there are alot of new dealers there, it just doesn't feel the same but when I do go and see old players and dealers it puts a smile on my face. Everyone just has to give the new dealers a chance, a few I see has very good potential and the rest well lets say, they still need some work, I wouldn't have traded those old dealers for anything including a chance to work at borgata!
