So I'm playing Little Slick & we are at 400/800. Guy opens to 14k UTG. Yes 18x'ing these days is the new thing. TWO callers with about same stack. Flop Q74. UTG jams 13k left. Button is all in for same.

UTG has QQ and button AK. Yes this is real life at my table. Lol

I always felt the min raise was just a passing fad.

Yup seems standard, I haz AK I can't fold now, pot odds and such.. Witnessed, or should I say experienced a 4.5k raise @ 5/1k from utg last night, 34k and change effective, I jam Sb with AKo and she jus Yolo calls it off like nbd with Kjo.. Obv I'm bitter because she Binked, but, as always, live low stakes multi day tourneys have hella land mines to dodge..

Yeah, that's what the TD told me today - that it's a standard way to do it. Don't know why they don't state it on the blinds structure that way.

I argued for an even end at 14% for all Day ones, so that the average chip stack brought over from each would the be same, to be fair. His counter-argument was that it is unfair that some flights would be playing longer than others, as this gives the opportunity to knock out more players and thereby build bigger stacks.

Anyway, I'm in Day 2 with about 85K. Took me two bullets though - A high refused to fold to my reraise on the flop and all-in on the turn, with KQ on a ten-high board.

My flight (1c) had 131 entries, with 19 advancing (14.5%).
Flight 1A had 154 entries with 21 advancing (13.6%).
Flight 1B had 146 entries with 18 advancing (12.3%).

It will be interesting to see what percentages advance from the larger-field weekend flights. I'm guessing 16-18% - which makes it harder to get in the money on Day 2 (more runners). 10% get paid.

I think the day 1 standard they set was a big mistake. Day 1a started at 11am and they ended midway through level 11 (~14%) just before 5pm. Its not like they couldnt of ran it till atleast 6pm busting a handful of more players. Ultimately that could of got it closer to 10% for day 1a & the rest to follow. 7 hours in a poker tournament is hardly ever an issue with players. Instead we're now going to have a good percentage left before money on day 2 which is entirely avoidable. In such a small buy in event its makes way more sense.

Does anyone happen to have a link or a copy of the payout schedule for the last little slick? Or even happen to remember anything about it, like how much first got, and how much the min cash was? I can't find one for the Sept one on the website, and was just wondering what it looked like.

Thanks.

Worked an Icm chop 3 handed 27.5k to first, 24 and change to 2nd, 22k to 3rd. They did an open face one hand flip for the trophy and 3rd scooped it with 35hh vs kx9s and Qc7d on K338sssX board.

Appreciate the information.

Initially SHRT did a great job with the blog and posting results. In July at least results information . Now not so much. Will the results eventually be provided to Hendon Mob and Cardplayer?
Will the blog get back to providing close to real time information and showing all the smiling mugs? Nice to put names with faces.

I expect to see the blog used for the multi-week events, such as the one i hear they are planning for December, but probably not for the little slicks or even the Deep Stack Event next month.

Hendon mob will receive the info I'm pretty sure, all of the previous events have been submitted. They didn't blog for slick in the past so I wasn't surprised this time either, but it's likely they will for the upcoming deepstack series.

Can't say I would have noticed it on my own, but back on Sept 28 a dealer mentioned that starting Oct 1 the THR would start rounding the rake up. I think that's what they do at Derby already. Not sure when they round up, i.e. Is it after the $5 mark or any amount over the previous level. Like is it just $15 and up that gets raked as $20 or does $12 go up to $20 since it's over $10. Anyone noticethis/know how that works?

I heard from a dealer last night that a couple of days ago Todd was out riding his bike, and just collapsed and died. He didn't have any other details. Very sad. He was a super nice guy.
