Honestly I just think putting 1000 chips in to the pot at 50-100 is crazy with K8S unless your the last aggressor.

I was facing a re raise of 600 chips - the 400 is already in there and it shouldn't matter whether I put those chips in there or someone else did - as they no longer belong to me. So I had to call 600 for a pot of 2250 (1 limper + the blinds) with 10K behind. Any suited cards I'm probably calling here.

Like I said, it was hot as $%$^ and I had basically decided I was going to build a big stack or bust early - I was super uncomfortable and was not about to sweat for 3 hours in a $170 tourney only to blind down and get it in as a 55-45 in 3 hours on the bubble.

You realize that in order to take some of that dead money - playing in a heads up pot with someone that won't fold 77 with 2 overs for 100 bbs might be a decent spot to see a flop for 600 chips...?

Provolone doesn't realize how unlucky I was to be called by 77 on that flop instead of increasing my stack by 30% with no showdown.

Eddie, you were unlucky to get called. But considering you flopped a really strong hand, and for her to be at the bottom of her range and still be 50/50, is that not telling? Surely there must be better spots for players as talented as yourself.
Just raise smaller pre... the most shocking thing is her 3 betting with 77, that is truly stunning.

Yep. Although I just noticed that the starting chip stacks on the Derby Lane site are much less than as advertised on the WPT site. I have to rethink my participation. I may end up with a bunch of tournament buy-in chips to sell at a discount (pm me if anyone interested).

AC was ice cold last night. The dealers were even commenting on it. I was by the wall 2-5 table 43. Seriously it was to the point where I needed gloves. BTW, I got a call from THR saying safety deposit boxes are only for hotel guests and that they need to be cleared out I think by the 20 of July. I am gonna clear mine out in the next few days but just a heads up for anyone who has one to empty it. BOOOO

Any opinions on the leather jacket they sell at HR? I was thinking of using poker credits toward one.
The label claims it's lambskin w/ a polyester liner. Made in China. $350.
