Fortune is no longer spreading $5/$10 as of 12/17

Interesting. Any reason as to why?

Just asked a dealer about this. She mentioned it pretty much being 3/5 players and not being a great game bc of the $300 max bet.

Word is that 5/10 didn’t attract new players, which defeat the purpose.

It also became a feature event where players would actually play less to get ready for it or because of it.

Apparently there is going to be another rake increase to $5/$3 at beginning of next year.

Not sure but y’all, but I think I am finally done with poker in Seattle.

Why would you post this without specifying where you’re referring to?

Kind of silly to have to ask the question given that there are just two companies running the show and they are likely going to follow each other's move.

Do you actually think people would drive from North Seattle down to Renton to save $1 rake or vice versa?

So if no one is doing that, and Fortune decides to charge $1 more, do you think Maverick would be like, no, we like our customers and gonna stick to $4 rake.

Again, kind of a silly question to be asking when the implication seems so obvious. Fact is that we have no options anymore in Seattle.

You said “apparently there’s going to be another rake increase to $5/$3 after the new year” My question as to who? couldn’t be more straightforward. Yet you can’t give a straightforward answer. Silly indeed.

Let me simplify it; were you referring to
A) Maverick
B) Fortune

I guess you're just going to have to wait and see.

The answer has no value because it's still a rumor.

Furthermore it has no value, because it's inevitable that both of them will adjust if one does increase.

It's just silly that you cannot see past that.

Wtf were these last 6 posts

My rent has gone up $75 a month for the last several years. Do you think I give a shick about a dollar? The calling stations would be paying that, not me.

If it's a RUMOUR, saying without stating so with like posting cryptic messages on Facebook. Quality people. Quality!

I'm taking a poker break right now to focus on Popeyes chicken sandwiches. Better +EV ATM

But do you not see???!? Seattle

Several posts definitely easier than giving a one word answer.

Hopefully if Seattle quits poker he quits this thread as well. Last Thursday we played a low stakes($5-10) mix game at Red Dragon. $3 max rake. It was a blast if anyone has interest in making it a regular thing let them know.

Muckleshoot pushed back the opening of the new poker room from the Saturday the 4th of January at 10am to Tuesday the 7th of January at 10am.

What's the over/under on it actually opening on the 7th?

Can anyone confirm whether Fortune increased the total rake to $8 or is it still $7 max rake?

Muckleshoot shows up on poker Atlas again now. So I assume the new room is open. I see 12 tables going, all with really long wait lists. Does the new room only have 12 tables, or why are they not running more? Anyone is/was there and any idea? Thx.

12 as of yesterday (Wednesday) according to a DM. Hopefully 18 soon.

Sure hope they’ll have more tables soon. If it's only 12 tables for the long term I guess sooner or later they'll just have no poker at all like the other tribals. If that's the case I guess I'd have to up and leave to another state. Don't know if I can survive without poker.

It wouldn't matter how many tables it operates if most of them are not used. After the promotion, it would likely go back to how it was.

We had this discussion many times. People don't tend to drive far to play poker, especially not in this Seattle traffic.

Agree with that. I just meant that if the casino is reducing tables (they went from 25-30, to 18 in galaxy, to 12 now) then maybe sooner or later they’ll just give up poker altogether like the others. Hope that won’t be the case.

I wonder how many tables they used to have before moneymaker and the poker boom. Anyone still remember?

Asking the wrong crowd, considering the age of any regulars who post here that actually played poker prior to 2003.

Poker is exiting tribal - this is fact, no running away from it.

Big bets are being made on sports gambling and if that fails, not sure how that will affect poker.

If poker is essential to you, I am surprised you're still here.

there used to be a great suggestion thread, "best poker city to raise a family."
[speaking for me] might be time to revisit.
