How often has the 20/40 LHE been going at Fortune? I see they are on Bravo now, but whenever I have checked it doesn't show the games going.

Any idea why they aren't putting their games running on Bravo?

Guess it's not set up yet. The tables all have the Bravo screens covered.

Re: Bravo

They are having licensing issues with the Washington state gambling commission.

For the active games going at Fortune Poker check out the app or website.

Doubt Seattle would be much better for you.

The 3 Indian casinos, Tulalip, Snoqualmie, and Muckleshoot all have 2/5 (3/5) and Tulalip is the only one that spreads smaller 1/3 game.

Everywhere else is some variant of smaller spread limit game, mostly 2-20 bet.

Weekend I would go with Muck as there are more tables.

I can think of one person who I've seen lately there that is much worse than Bob.... I'll give you one guess who.

My T-Mobile reception is better @ Muck than it has been, but I just use the WiFi when I am there. It is up about 90% of the time now (compared to about 15% a year or so ago).

Gonna hit Fortune for 4/8 high hand hunting. My poor bankroll took a beating during Muck's $500/15 min promo last weekend. So many people just begging me to take their money. Sigh.

Do they give any food comps at Fortune? Do they allow outside food and drink?

How nitty is it to pack a sandwich for the poker room?

Extremely. The damage that would do to your table image won't be worth the savings. If you must, leave it in a cooler in your car and take a break to eat it there

Food comp is 50% off a reasonably priced menu. Which I don't particularly think is great but some posters say it is. I hadn't played live cards in a few years (logging regular hours now) so I guess the comps have gotten a ton worse lately.

Food is OK. Burgers are good. Asian food is hit or miss, the fried rice wasn't anything special.

And don't pack a sandwich, come on.

Bob is mostly fine if not annoying/stalling the game up that plays relatively quick for a LO8 game.

I only made that comment because he angle shot two regulars by waiting for a down switch and "accidentally" didn't post a blind and hide his missed blind button under a stack of red. Someone called him out and it ended up being a giant argument (for obvious reasons).

Just no reason for that kind of nittery / angleshooting. I have a low tolerance for that kind of stuff to be fair.

I haven't noticed anyone worse attitude-wise but I skipped this Friday. I usually start the game and have to leave in the early evening due to kids at home. I don't play late but hoping to change that soon. Monday's game was really bad, quality wise.

Not too obvious...I have played in maybe 40 poker rooms, and only 3 or so had any problem with outside drinks. I usually bring lots of filtered ice water because I have a condition which makes me very thirsty all the time. and I only like ice cold water.
Have only brought outside food into a few rooms, but in many rooms I have seen people bring in food from outside restaurants with no problems. Many even allow outside delivery places. I don't think it really affects my table image that much, but if people don't call my raises because they think I am nitty that is awesome because then I can steal pots.

Vancouver, BC lurking here. I'm not looking for an essay, just a quick synopsis of games in WA. Is there much NLHE 2/5+ in Sea or at Tulalip? Asking cuz Van and burbs are almost 100% 1/2, a bit of uncapped PLO and only one place, one table of 2/5 on weekends (to the best of my knowledge). It's crazy how many regs we have around every table, trying to grind 1/2. (self included.)

like with Sea, there's tons of money in this town, just no casino willing to operate even a medium-sized room. TYIA.

How do you manage to drive around w ice water? Do you keep a cooler in your trunk? Why not just order a bottle of water and a glass of ice. But to answer your question- no outside food, no outside drink.

Since this has turned into more of a food thread than a poker thread I may as well add that the Vietnamese beef stew at Fortune is excellent.

I usually bring a little cooler bag wherever I go. And mostly ice that gradually melts. Even some places that don't want most outside food or drink are ok with it, but a few aren't. For the same effect without it, I would have to be asking for more ice from a waitress constantly, and ice at some places isn't filtered and tastes bad. And anything other than super cold water just doesn't seem right to me, although that's probably a psychological quirk since I'm used to it at this point.

Oh well, I guess I'll see what happens. If anyone sees someone with a small cooler bag in the next few days, please say hello. Or if you see someone surreptitiously drinking from an icy cold outside bottle, also say hello, and please don't turn me in to the authorities. I'll skip the outside food and just try some of the recommendations.

I am curious about why one guy who people think is a PITA would be allowed to bring in outside drinks if no one else is.

Because he's a huge money loser.

At the few places that have told me bringing outside drinks was not allowed, I was stopped by a security person at the door and told it was some kind of health code violation. Hard to imagine those guys changing the rules just because someone was a donator in the games,

Overheard a couple of dealers at the muck talking about how good the Friday 15 30 game is at Fortune. May have to check it out now that I'm no longer going to Wizards

Why would continuing to go to Wizards have prevented you from going to Fortune?
