wednesday's 15-30 mix at hollywood:

razz
badugi
super stud8
5 card omaha double board
badacey
action razz
super razzdugi
drawmaha
2-7
archie

game almost broke at 2am, but i saved it. i won $25 in 4 hours. guy lost a big 2-7 pot because he forgot the hand rankings. I made the same mistake and accidentally bluffed him off a jack 2 hands later. i proudly showed the ace and didn't know why he was upset.
don't miss out.

Has the mixed game been going on Saturdays also? I saw the website had an interest list.

Those games are almost all pretty standard in most regular mix games these days.

Fortune rake has gone up to $5. If I understood correctly, for spread limit and 20/40 limit, it is still 4+3 for 4/8 and 8/16. They have also running tournaments during weekend mornings as well.

That sucks. Why would they penalize the 20/40 games which already go faster than the other games in the room, and always hit max rake?

Why would they penalize anyone? To make more money.

Ok, then why don't they want to make more money from the smaller games instead of from the one they already make the most money from?

Btw, Hollywood currently (Saturday night) has two tables of 15/30 mix going. Would love a report if anyone went.

Because taking an extra $1 out of a 4/8 game is a much higher percentage than taking an extra $1 out of a 20/40 game. I said they want to make more money, I didn’t say they are soulless! The rake will never stop going up. It will be 5/3 for 4/8 some day.

The 20/40 players are more likely to notice and complain about it though.

Of course but we are all still here playing shrugging it off.

what does 5/3 structure mean when it comes to rake? is it 3% rake at a $5 max?

No, they're both dollars. The $3 is for promos (mostly high hand bonus).

Caribbean (Kirjland) on a Saturday was fun but also a bit of a ship show.

Pam the 56 yo Asian was blasted drunk at 4pm and being about as annoying as someone can get. Imagine seat change button drama. I don't know why they kept serving her

Promos seem good. Wasted guy got cold food, but didn't think to send it back. Saw him knock back like a half dozen drinks

Might stop by again tomorrow as I'll be in the neighborhood, plus I have comp dollars to blow on a burger

Ok back at Caribbean. Thoughts:

Rowdy table, some f bombs, but there was a bleeding spewguy that made it fun. Dealers seem to actively dislike other staff, which is also fun.

Saw a bunch of people I recognized from Fortune. Won $400 at 1/3 and dumped $100 at O8, mostly due to poor play. It's been a while since I've played live.

Can't comment on the food, dealer said it was mostly bad, but free food is free food.

Can I assume correctly the single family homes near Caribbean are million dollar plus?

How long has Caribbean been in Kirkland?

I don't know when I'll be back but I look forward to it. Right now it's too cold for my dog.

Note my win at 1/3 was mostly the result of good cards and being at the right table with the right person on wild monkey tilt.

Gross bathrooms, but access to pit games including ultimate Texas hold em.

I liked the staff. Lack of service was the only major downside. Like I mentioned dude got cold food. They have a robot that delivers your meal if you're dining in the main area, so order at the bar I guess?

ACES POKER ROOM

Outside it's dark, with meandering parking in a odd group of buildings. 70s office park vibes.

Inside, it's bright, modern and clean. Big bar, tons of tvs, lots of people. Blue tones. Clean bathroom.

No people fighting or cursing. Bathroom quickly degraded as it seems there's no janitorial after 8pm. Some tables have qr codes to login, some don't. Floor clocked me in anyways, how did they know me? :O

Usual suspects playing, not a stressful game. Doubled up at 1/3 plo and left later to shop at WinCo.

They have flatbread pizzas that are more pizza, looked loaded with large toppings. Operationally it was working. App worked.

You posted a thread with 21 long replies, as well as posting here, and you still need more information?

And you need to build a bankroll? What the hell?

You don't need a bankroll to go inside and see what a place is like. And even to play a game there you don't need a bankroll, just a buyin.
