Lake Elsinore is a little over an hour's drive but might have a 5/5 PLO game going on Friday. It has been going Wednesday and Friday lately.

Gonna try those new weekend quantum reload tournaments at O11.

Looks like a nice structure..40 minute levels for the first 4 rounds..then 20 minutes, thereafter.

Has anyone played these? Any comments?

I've played them at the Bike (where they originated). The longer levels provdes anlittle more tine, but basically by late stages they turn into your typical shovefest.

At least looking at the blind levels, they seem to have some levels, many others skip over.

There is a 75-150, 150-300, 800-1600, 1200-2400..as well as the usual blind levels..

I need to ask, a friend of mine insists that there is a room somewhere between LA and SD that has crazy pineapple going all the time and that it was the loosest game he's played in in all of socal, but he doesn't remember the name of the place. Is the donk filled SD crazy pineapple room a myth? Or does it exist down there?

The Bicycle Club (Bell Gardens, LA County) used to always have a 3/6 Crazy Pineapple high low game going when I went several years ago; don't know if it still goes though.

Back in 2010 they used to spread Crazy Pineapple at Harrah's Rincon. I haven't been there in quite a while, but I never see Pineapple on Bravo Live.

I believe the last time Harrah's had Crazy Pineapple (cash games AND a weekly tournament) was 3 moves ago..when the room was originally downstairs..maybe 2-3 years ago.

The tournament was a lot of fun, and I even won one of them..but it sure was a slow-moving tournament..

Anyone play poker on Labor Day? I was at OC11, it was so juicy there but the wait for a table was maddening as they used almost all the cash tables for the tournament which almost brought in 400 players. Of course, as people got KO'd, we got our cash games back and the amount of people throwing money away was heavenly.

Barona had a crazy pineapple 8/b $3/$6 game that would run most days. Sometime last year. After few months, the player pool moved back to omaha 8/b and the crazy pineapple game died.

I've already posted in here but I thought I would say again, I'm a new student at USD (University of San Diego) and I'm looking for some people down here to talk to about poker and to go play with. I'm interested in playing 1/2 NL and NL tournaments, but I also want to learn more about and improve my Omaha game. If anyone wants to talk more just PM me!

I've only been here a week, but so far it's incredible. The food is great, the people are nice, and the campus is gorgeous. Is your brother a poker player? Hopefully I can get him as one of my professors

I finally played in a Quantum Reload..last Friday at Ocean'a 11.

I have to say I like the format..it is certainly CONFUSING at first. Very few people there seemed to know exactly how it all worked.

Structure isn't bad and for a full buy-in ($60 - $80 on Fridays, and $100 - $140 on Weekends) you get your poker playing $'s worth, so to speak.

Other than the Pala RiverCard events, this structure is the best I've seen in San Diego county..

Okay I played at Palomar and it was kinda acceptable but the limit games are way too low stakes to compensate the rake and the 2/3$ is just inhumanely raked at 5$ no matter the pot size.

So I though I would go to O11 to play the higher limit but I just wonder, is there any free shuttle or something convenient like that?

Look at using the coaster, it drops you off pretty close. Not a terrible walk or a short cab ride from the station to O11.
