Another Change: the $45 and $65 tournaments have now changed to $50 and $70 tournaments (extra $5 going to the prize pool) starting on the 19th. They have also added a $150 tourney with $50 bounties on Saturday as well. The extra $5 won't turn away the people and it will be nice to have a little extra boost in the prize pools. Other than not having higher limit, limit holdem, I have no clue why one would play anywhere but RA. Much better promos ($5 an hour / Happy Hour, Progressive Board (which I hit quad Aces for $300 a couple of weeks ago!), and Aces Cracked), better tourney structures, and 2-100 will also be a nice addition. I wonder what the max buy-in will be for 2-100? Anyone know?

I expect buyin will still be 200...stakes haven't changed, just the max bet.

Max bet is now $100. Still no NL.

They still had a 2-60 going when I called them just now. They would need to get the necessary change to the plan of operation approved by the racing commission, something it appears has already happened at CP, the Bravo app showed a 40-80 mixed game last night.

wow i am pretty excited to learn the max bet will be going up to $100! lets hope RA implements this new law instead of being lazy and letting months go by with doing nothing(i.e. the bravopoker app.) I would love it if they had the new 2-100 spread limit going by the time live racing starts in june.

Per Twitter, they're spreading 2-100 as of last night.

2-100 and 5-100 ran last night. Hoping for 10-100 if there is enough interest.

Why the hell is there no NL in MN?

Went to RA last night and they had 4 or 5 2-100 tables running, and one 5-100 table. Definitely enjoyed the new max bet, and will hopefully be back soon.

The 2-100 buy-in is min 50, max 300 (2/60 still has a 200 cap). Have not played 5-100 but it's probably uncapped like the 5-60.

FWIW, the 2-60 has been good to me as of late but that might just be variance. Yeah, there are a lot of regs, but a lot of them are bad players. Especially if they've had a beer or three. The 2-100 game I sat in for a couple hours on Sunday was good but mainly because one lagtard threw away $900 in less than two hours.

They run a 4-8 O8 game several times a week. Hoping they will run a 2-100 SL Omaha high, which would be a great game. I've played it 5-6 times in the past but I don't think it runs much anymore

played the $2-100 today. Lots of juiced pots and a couple action junkies with wildly fluctuating stacks. Came down on the beat side of variance, but the new game looks good and should put the nits out of their comfort zones for a while.

With the $2-60 getting crowded out by 2-100, it's possible the $4-20 spread might make a comeback. I hope the nits and rocks go there.

Heading up to Running Aces after work for some 2-100, hoping for some good action and will try and table select.

how'd it go for a thursday night? i am thinking of making a trip there this weekend and am wondering if the new 2-100 is making any difference in player pool?

I don't think the news will influence the pool too much, but it might attract some gamblers from the pit and the game may be better suited to your style. I know that for myself, it helps to be able to make the bigger bet on the turn with an overpair/tptk and be closer to all-in as opposed to offering draws better odds.

Decent game up there last night. The 2-100 game is slightly tougher than the 2-60 in that the play is less passive, and there is less easy money on the table. I ended up losing two racks, losing one with AA vs J5 on a K72 board after 3 betting a bet of $8 to $34 preflop... Definitely money to win in the game, but a bit tougher than 2-60

when someone's putting in $34 preflop with J5s, you're going to have to try harder to convince us that the game is tougher!
I mean, in the 2-100 I saw a lot more open-raises to $16 and $18 than in the 2-60, but those raises are getting called in multiple spots.

Well besides that player the table was relatively tough, for the most part lots of solid regs, with the player I mentioned before being an exception

Played up there the first Tuesday this month, randomly played in, and chopped 4-way the Tuesday nightly, it was a nice little tourney.

With 15 or so left, some dudes at the cash table started really getting into it, some black guy and an old white guy. Old white guy kept saying something like "Don't call me boy!" Security came over, took them both aside separately, and it looked like they kicked the old dude out. Not sure what all went down, but it seemed pretty funny.

If I played with anyone, I was the one in a blue windbreaker who kept coughing his head off.

The $2-100 is developing into a great game!

We are getting more of them every night and they are really action packed. The buy in is $50 min, $300 max. Last Friday we had 9 of these games and a few of the tables rarely had pots less than $400. If you haven't played at RA in a while, you should come check out this new game and all of our great promos.

If you aren't playing poker at Running Aces, you are losing money!

Has there been any $2-$100 Omaha Hi running? I would really be interested in playing that game.

I do not think that we have gotten that game yet, but with the Omaha Jackpot at $9,800 we just might start getting interest in that game.
Previously, whenever the Omaha JP got to 10K or more, we would start to see the $2-60 Omaha Hi or $2-60 H.O. game on a daily basis so I predict that the $2-100 will follow.

We will probably end up with a $2-100 H.O. tonight considering the Hold'em JP is also at 40K.

Good Luck

What would be the best night of the week to go? I have to drive over an hour to get there and wouldn't want to be dissapointed if a 2-100 spread game wasn't going..

Also, what is the rake on the 2-100 spread game?

Thanks!!
