Seems like my thinking about this game has become very uptight. There's a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta whathaveyous.

So if I'm waiting 2 hours for PLO will I be able to get into a 1/3 or 2/5 NL game while I wait, or is that going to be a long wait too?

Lists have started to calm down a bit, guess as weather improves people have other stuff to do.

Cannot get over just how much better the average player is here than the Shoe or Elgin. Really is night and day. Still consider myself a favourite here but not as large a one.

weather, no more tax money, holiday coming, yard work, going to cottage for weekend .. and WSOP starts next week so maybe their saving some pennies for Vegas.

IMO poker in general has settled down the last 6 weeks or so .. except for 'major' tournaments as they are still seeing record entries .. GL

saw something unreal at my 5/5 PLO table last night.

a guy in the 1 seat was scooping a massive pot. as the hand is finishing a waitress is behind him w/ his tea. he doesn't have any 1 dollar chips. so he takes one of his red 5 dollar chips, and starts to make change from the dealer's rack. the dealer notices as he's touching the rack chips and yells at him to stop. he stops, apologies, and realizes he ****ed up.

Did the Dealer call the Floor over? Certainly a huge taboo .. I've made change with Dealer tips before but the tray is off limits for sure. GL

yeah so, it was right when all the players were suppose to pay time as well. so the dealer calls the floor over, explains what just happened, and the floor leaves to go call security (protocol, i guess). as the floor is leaving to make that call, the dealer asks if the player should pay time or not. the floor said no.

so a few seconds go by, and i told the player in the 1 seat "man, you really outta go apologize to the floor otherwise you're going to get kicked out and maybe a temp ban." everyone agreed with me, and he did.

then he racked up his chips and left for the night. as far as i know, he got a one day ban only.

I've become a voluntary Brush before in my regular room if staff is short or the Brush is already in line for something else. But if I have to reach in the tray for cash I always lay it out on the table 'as normal' before taking it to the cage.

Some Players want 'fresh' chips and there's also a dislike of having lammers in a pot. They haven't kicked me out yet .. GL

Most people are terrified of breaking rules in a casino knowing how strict the rules tend to be, even new players don't reach into the rack. Worst is when you see new players trying to make change with the pot.

Many large poker rooms in America are allowing you to put your name on the waiting list via the Bravo App (as long as you link your players card). And this God Damn poker room can’t get up to speed!

Yes .. both Poker Atlas and Bravo have a 'feature' where you can add to the list via the App .. even check-in (on Poker Atlas). In Bravo it definitely comes at additional cost.

I play at an 8-table room and suggested it to them since they had a Floor tied to the phone in stead of 'the Floor'. Their solution was to train the cashier to answer the phone since it's located in the same space!

I like Poker Atlas because you can see the names on the list .. so you can spot your spots! GL

Here now, and saw this:

Pot is opened to 20, call, call, shove for 140, call, call behind, last person is tanking.

As he is dealer somehow exposes two cards from the muck (believe he hit them with his hand while adjusting and absolute freak accident they hit the plastic side next to the dealer's rack.

The cards happen to he As and Ah LOL.

Fortunately tanker folds.

No idea. I'm pretty distinctive as I'm very much not American so people will notice my accent, but not knowingly met or played with any regular posters.

Given the fact I've played about 300 hours there and mostly 2-5 NL and 1-3 NL I've almost certainly been at table with some of you.

elgin had 22 tables and it only took one employee to take the phone calls and add people to the list. Its not an igb thing. Rivers has 3 managers who kinda do nothing but come online to this forum and then get pissed that people dont like their work performance. Then they make fake positive reviews and its so obvious who they are.

Ive never even complained about this place. I signed up to the forum here after the zit faced ugly manager told me he though I was posting reviews on 2+2 That guy has always had a horrible attitude. He is the reason they made a dumb rule about one table change per 4 hours. Its too much work to do that. I was putting in 12+ hour shifts all the time and sometimes a table change is the difference between getting rich or grinding. but if you changed 3 hours prior thats a no go??????

Rivers has it confused and they call the brus the dealers who are forced to clean the floor and pick up empty drinks. Thats called the janitor. Ive seen a couple good dealers being forced to do janitorial and chip running duties way too long- they are good dealers but rivers wont do a dealers school, just keeps dangling a carrot. I used to be a UPS driver, my body broke and they had me doing some janitor ****= It doesnt feel good to work hard to be a competent hard working employee and then be cleaning floors- RIVERS
