I think they do it because there's so much more money on the table and pots are bigger, on average, in PLO. I'm sure if they thought they could get away with it, they'd up the charge to $7 for NLHE, too.

I don't get your post. You just stated why it makes complete sense for the room to charge time, which they should in fact be doing given how slow the game plays. Time rake for games that size are completely normal and $7/hr is very reasonable. Personally i think the players should do time pots and don't know why they don't.

If they aren't raking in more on the $1/$2 NLHE game than they were previously they need to switch back. This new rake seems to be a big turn-off to many casual players. The number of $1/$2 games running it's definitely way less than before.

I heard they're bringing back the Monday Night Football promotion. Last time they had it when you played on Monday night you went to the Fire Keepers booth and got a ticket with your name/FKC number on it. You put the ticket into either teams barrel in the poker room. When a team scores they draw a name from that teams barrel. TD worth $200, FG worth $100.

Did it drive any of the 1/2 players up to 3/5?

That sucks. I enjoyed the 8.5% rakeback program they had.

The Monday night tournament will now be on Wednesday night and the Monday Night Football promotion is starting.

Also the new Italian restaurant across from the gift shop is open. A few poker players that tried it during the soft opening gave it pretty good reviews. Think I'll try the flatbread on Sunday.

Call ahead and get on the lists for games you want to play. They give you a 2 hour window. Solves some of the wait time while you are there.

Has the volume of play decreased notably lately or am I imagining this?

Seems that since the timed rake (though gone now) went into play that the number of 1-2, AND 3-5 (not affected by the rake technically) have less tables running on average.

meh. it's always slower in the summer. usually picks up later in september and october and stays busy thru the spring till the weather gets nice again.

but it's been getting slower and slower since they added the 1/2 games. it really hurt the limit games and the number of 3/5 games running

Hey, I'll be in Milwaukee this weekend visiting the GF and thinking about stopping at the POT for some 1/2 or 2/5 (under rolled)

Questions:

Will they allow me to bring in my bag, snacks, headphones, hoodie?

I'd like to get in around 9-10am. Will it be necessary to call ahead or will it not be too busy?

Since they're not on the bravo network, is there a way to check current games? How often do they run 2/5?

If you're there Friday, stop by and say whats up. I'll be the spewtard in gray

you can bring all that stuff, sure. i think they say you can't bring in drinks, although i know some regs that do it anyway.

you should call in whenever you can, even in the morning. they might not be too busy, but they also won't have a ton of games running at 9 am. they give you two hours on your call-in.

the only way to check current games is to call and ask.

3/5nl is almost always running

Right on bud! Thanks for the headsup. I'll be sure to call in. How does the 2hr window work? I call in and have 2hrs to get there, then they put me on top of the list; below earlier callers?

Seems like a good time to chime in. Been a semi-regular at 1/2 starting this year. I'm guessing 2+2ers more likely to be 3/5 types?
