Guess it started a week early. Went down for the 6PM promotional drawing and checked the poker room and the $1/$2 PLO/PLO8 was a full table with a waiting list.
I played in the game from 1 to 6 today. It was pretty nice. Took a decent ammount off the table. Hope to play next week. Looks like it will definitely run.
One of the regs punted most of his stack to another reg, so he wanted to go all in pre and check it down for the rest of his $187 stack. Myself and one other didn't want to do it so they were 7 handed. 6 of them did it again about 30 mins later for ~$130.
A few weeks ago when boyz II men was in town one of the singers was playing $3/$5 and right before he left they did some pretty big ones - $500 x 4 and the next hand $315 x 5.
Poto is trying to get this off the ground as a regular Thursday @ noon game. It is because Big Daddy realizes that they need a feeder game into "his" 5/5 PLO game, so he has really pushed them for it and they are accomodating him. Anyway, there is a signup at the desk in one of the binders. As of Saturday night there were 20 on the list. I was told they will start a must move game if they have enough people to make it strong.

On Friday and Saturday nights there will be 7-8 $1/$2 games going and long wait lists. Call 1-800-PAYS-BIG and ask for the poker room to get on the list up to 2 hours before you get there.
Typical $1/$2 with lots of limping, sometimes you raise to $12 and get 5 callers, very little 3 betting pre-flop, not enough c-betting post flop, transparent lines (flush card hits on river and they now bet out), don't bluff the calling stations, etc...games are pretty good on weekends.
The 2 things imo that live players do now that they didnt used to is raise the btn and cbet alot. They actually cbet way too often in multiway pots regardless of the board texture.
Min buyin is $200. Max had not been finalized,but will be either $500 or $600.
The min was lowered to $100 - max $500. Steve of course bought in for the min and played short stacked. I think he bought 3 times. He doubled up once and left shortly after. Those big $150 stacks make him nervous.
I was in the 10 seat. Played till about 1 AM. Really never got any good hands at omaha hi. Bought in for $200 and got up to $450 at one point but paid $15-$20 preflop too many times at the main table when I had hands like pocket tens or queens and never hit a set or any kind of draw. Cashed out a little bit down for the session.
I've only played PL twice live and there's definitely some adjustments to be made from online. Online you never went from $10 preflop to $70 on the flop because you never had 7 players calling $10 preflop LOL. I don't think you could set up better scenarios for short stacking...
