Looks like the MSPT schedule is up - $60+5 satellites starting this month.

http://msptpoker.com/showpdf.aspx?eventID=100

1 in 5 (20%) of the $60 qualify for the $250 qualifiers - where's the other $50 going?

I have 2 guesses.

1 is a joke for The Twilight Zone fans out there:
It's wished into the cornfields.

1 is serious:
Is the 60+5 actually 50+10+5?

Ah, nice catch. I guess they don't want you to flat out see the 30% juice...
$50 (entry) + $15 (non-prize pool fees).

Just wanted to say that Poto is awesome compared to a lot of other rooms.

A lot of others let dealers play on their days off or their breaks. Horseshoe Cleveland lets the dealers wear Indians jerseys. In a lot of LV casinos, dealers will take chips of of a player's stack to put in the blinds. I don't like that. Poto is professional.

I love the betting line, and enforcing it like breaking the plane in football. Without a betting line, a lot of problems arise. And having a betting line but not enforcing it leads to a lot of angleshot opportunities.

A lot of places also aren't in any hurry to fill seats. Which sucks whether you're at the table or the one waiting for the seat. I know it's easier in a 20-table room but seats gets filled quickly at Poto.

The change to 1/3 was great. If I lived halfway between Hammond and Milwaukee, that'd make me go to Milwaukee every time. I don't know how the LV 1/2 games get enough players.

So the fees on mtts/sat's are high, and the chairs are pretty bad, and 5/T never runs. But none of this is the staff's fault. Of the 3 Midwest, 1 EC, and 5 LV casinos, Poto has the best staff imo.

I would generally agree. I read about the different "angle shooting" stories on here and I would say the betting line eliminates a lot of those problems. I think most dealers do a good job of keeping the game moving and have a hold on the action and control of the table. While I haven't been to Vegas in over 10 years, I've played at Foxwoods/Mohegan a few times in past years and experience was good there, too. I'd say my largest complaint has more to do with off the felt issues, like 1) not having enough of a wait staff most weekend nights and 2) the lack of delivery service from the (majority) of restaurants in the casino. Still baffles me how you can only have 1 or two waiters/waitresses working on a weekend night when there are over 150 people in the room. That is just poor service.

$15-$30 Limit Omaha Hi-Lo ran today. Started 5-handed and got up to a full table for a while.

Daytime during the week - probably 1-2 $1/3 NLHE, 1 $2/4 and $3/6 LHE, maybe a $3/5 NLHE and then a specialty game depending on what day you're there.

From a computer you can check - http://www.paysbig.com/casino/poker/ to see the games running and lists.

Thanks! Do you have to have a player card to get in? What about qualify for the bad beat?

I'll probably try to get in as early as possible to get a few long sessions in. Glad they have the list online!

^ You can play without a player's card. Although it's much easier to use the rakeback points than any other casino I've been to. A lot of places wouldn't let me convert it to a free slot play unless it was during their business hours (8-5 or something) and most places also only allow it at select restaurants.

You can't receive BBJ money without a player's card but if it hits I'm pretty sure they'd let you go get one. You don't need it when it hits, but you need it when you fill out the tax form.

Hi everyone. A bunch of us got 5/10nl running this past Friday in the evening for a few hours. This was the first time this game has ran in about a year if I recall correctly.

We want to make 5/10nl a regular Friday night game if we can. This coming Friday the game will start at 8pm (or earlier depending on player turnout). There is a sign up list at the desk. If you are interested please put your name on the sign up list some time this week. It seems to me that interest in this game has been building recently and I hope this trend continues.

**The buy in is $500-$2500. We want the game to play with the purple $10 chips.

Thanks to anyone who signs up! Helping us start games is very much appreciated.

As of Wednesday night, only 100 runners signed up for Sundays 500+50+30 Mid-Summer Classic. Are people waiting for the MSPT event?

Saturday would be best to have this game, no possible interruption with the other feature plo game, and people can play both! and one can play blacked out!

The players who started the sign up list decided Friday night was best for their schedules. I agree that Saturday or Sunday would also be great times, but unfortunately those times didn't have the support that Friday did. For now I think we should do our best to get the game going for a few weeks and once we have some success we can think about moving it. Also, I don't think it conflicts with the Friday plo game either. There is very little crossover between the two player pools.

I disagree. No one came over from PLO until the game broke up, and then it was only you and Dave and Goran (3 players who are certainly not going to leave the PLO player pool to play this nl game) once it was very late and games started breaking down.

All in all the 5/10nl game was a success. It seems like it will run every Friday night at 8:00pm for at least the next few weeks.
