I have "unlimited" data through AT&T on my iPhone. I blow past 5GB every month and AT&T sends me this bull**** message that announces when, in each month, they will begin throttling my my internet down to EDGE speeds. I make good money but I don't enjoy paying for internet on three different contracts a month.

I spend a disturbingly large part of my waking life in casinos and I am a more likely to spend even more time in them if they have amenities and services (free WiFi, covered and close parking, massages, better food selection, hotel) that make my time spent more enjoyable.

For what it's worth, I love Parx and I think the $15k+ in rake I've paid there has been totally worth it. We've all appreciated that Ari and company have responded to many of the complaints and requests that have come up since they opened.

OK, I was able to find out where the bus leaves from in Chinatown (39 Division Street). Can ANYONE help me with tickets. Am I able to just show up to 39 Division Street and purchase tickets on the bus? Do I need to reserve my seat and/or purchase my tickets beforehand? I've tried calling the telephone number on the bus schedule but the gentleman who picks up does not speak English. (or as some poster corrected me earlier, i don't speak Chinese). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen people purchase tickets on the bus but if you want to make sure you get one, go to the White Swan Bakery on 24 Bowery and there should be someone selling tickets outside. The bus can leave a couple minutes early.

I'm pretty sure that if you just curl up on the ground and go to sleep one of the bus workers picks you up and puts you on board.

Lol, I thought the 10k guarantee was a typo, guess not. Almost like they are looking for their tournaments to fail.

My buddy and I call that sleeping area "winner's row."

I know at Harrah's Chester there used to be a couch on the lower level and like 10 people would be around there sleeping, not sure if they put a stop to that.

And yea, by the escalator at Parx, that is the on-site hotel.

They are no longer crediting comps back. I went to the desk to the right of the entrance. I guess that's the on duty floor supervisor or whatever. He could look up that I had $81 leftover comps (the $ number is irrelevant) from last year but wouldn't/couldn't credit them back.

Eat a D PARX.

That being said, it's still my local poker room. Borgata is somewhere between 1,000 and 1,001 times better but it's too far (for regular visits) and LOL Chester....

soooooooo in conclusion, see you Friday night!

Lol same. I stared at that awhile and it made me laugh.

Is it true the main event at the WPT regional is unlimited rebuys?

The ME is unlimited re entry not rebuys until the start of the 5th level.

In all honesty, it's the only tournament in the whole series with any value.

Per their twitter, they have had a lot of feedback and they are now revising structures.

Nice work PARX

Well that's a bit of good news, I hope they go with a similar structure to thier first series.

$5 PLO still going off Friday nights only, or has it grown some legs ?

For all the bad that's happened recently, this is a nice blast to the past back Parx listened to their customers.

I didn't see one incident of any soft play, collusion, angle or any other situation that would of deterred me from ever playing in the game again. The game got going everyday because of people like Brian went out of their way to communicate with others who wanted to play plo. This is how nonstandard games get going. It is always going to be regs who start the games, of coarse they are going to know each other. For anyone who has played any significant amount of plo, you know that the vibe at the table is always better than a miserable 2-5 nl game Its probably because everyone understands the complete sick variance of plo and has accepted it, therefore just tries to enjoy themselves. If you are a miserable small stakes nl player you wont understand this and when you catch the bad side of variance you blame it on anything you can to make yourself feel better. Anyway see you regs when the wpt comes. / excuse my grammar/spelling posting from my phone

i feel so much better learning NLHE, playing 0.05/0.10 online and 1/2 live...
really , I feel sooo goooood.

FWIW, this seems to be only for table games/slot players that receive offers in the mail.

Bit late to the thread (not sure why it's taken me this long tbh), but I'm planning on getting into some 1/2 and 2/5 at Parx in the near future and I'm looking for some pretty general advice. How are the quality of the games / poker room? Is Parx pretty much the best poker room in the Philly area? Google isn't really being all that helpful. The only other poker casino I see so far is Harrah's and it doesn't seem to have a great reputation on here.

Also curious about the overnight poker action. Do the games get shorthanded often? Because that would be sweet.

Where have YOU been, would be the better question..... We haven't seen you on this thread since before the comp BS ....

Maybe you could chime in on the structure changes in the upcoming WPT Open and when we might expect to see them either here or in the MTT thread.
